I heard he got out of the band and went to rehab/got clean from drugs. It’s nice to think that he got out of “the life” he was more or less lamenting in this song :) hopefully he’s living happily somewhere with things that truly matter to him

Skrillex sounds like a garage band where no one knows how to play an instrument. I like some of thier songs, but not alot. Kinda strange that the rest of the band didn't see his departure in the near future reading the lines of this song. The guy figured out that all the rock star glitter was pretty black. Thankfully it happened before it was too late. He was trying to get clean and the rest of the band booted him. I get it.
