    So funny, I just had some Asaro olives out of a jar I got at Costco a few weeks ago. The bright green color caught my eye, and the taste has made me a fan forever. These are the best olives I've ever had. The flavor of the olive really shines through over the brine more than any other olive, and they're so buttery yet a bit firm. The taste, texture and look make them feel like they very well may have been picked just yesterday. Awesome to learn about the family behind these green gems!

    so do they pick the olives off the trees or wait till they fall from trees for the olive oil they sell?

    • @YouMeandSicily
      @YouMeandSicily  Год назад

      No they pick the olives off the tree. You don't want the olives to be punctured.

    • @fctazz
      @fctazz Год назад

      Thank you. I ask because some companies do wait until they fall but then they are damaged and not good, so they then add stuff to bring the taste back and that olive oil is not as good...thanks

      @@YouMeandSicily I understand but it doesn’t say Organic on them? If they were organic it would have the organic label certificate on them or is it different in Sicily it’s not required by law for it to say Organic?
