As one of the newgen guys, absolutely can agree. We no longer have the mutual respect for other clubs/orgs/bikers drilled into us like it was back then.
I appreciate your intelligent perspective. Every generation shit talks the one coming up. Im 49 y.o. but can only imagine what the 1950s dresser bikers thought about the dirty 70's.
You’re 100% correct. Today there are cell phone cameras and videos. So even though there’s less violent crimes we may see it more because it’s easy to post and go viral. So I guess even though it’s less it’s spread easier to the public
Where I am, the parties are chill but the riding is hard. We do have good looking old ladies and groupies hanging around. Everyone is mostly cleaned up but we have some old school types like Hollywood that have adapted to the changing environment. Cops still watch us but we watch them right back.
Change is inevitable-some for the 'good' & some for the 'worse' as it all depends on how you perceive it. My 1st exposure to the 1%er Bandidos MC was in 1985 when I was only 15 yrs. old. Now in 1983 Legendary Bandido Panhead (RIP) was notorious for wearing the same pants for instance for weeks at a time along with his 'Cut' of course partying his ass off. Due to weather & road conditions his pants got so dirty, greasy from road grime/wet conditions that they were called 'slicks' that were actually 'water repellant'. Another thing back in the day the more tathered your 'Cut' was the more status you had amongst Members. The more you could drink, smoke weed & snort speed the more accepted you were as well. In the early 2000's whenever I went to a Mandatory Run let's say for instance from Friday AM to Sunday PM I wouldn't eat breakfast, drink coffee, no water & ride wheel to wheel, side by side 80 to 100+mph for a few hundred miles sometimes. Upon arrival I never ate anything nor drank water or sodas. I drank alcohol around the clock along with doing speed & always had a designated room/bed but never used it as I was having too much fun meeting new Brothers. It got to the point that Members in the Chapter I was riding with complained about me that they were 'worried/scared' riding in a pack with me since I never slept & partied the whole time because some of them didn't drink, smoke or do drugs. They are clean cut with short fade hair cuts & polished 'Cuts'. They wouldn't have even been considered back in just my day alone. I love a new Bandido Patch made that said: "What would Panhead say." I know my limitations & no disrespect to Bandido Panhead but I would have given him a 'run for his money'. Hey Hollywood just a suggestion: Why don't you do a scit video on why Old School 1%er's kissed each other being a peck on the lips or cheeks?
SUBDUE TO THD PUBLIC BUT ALOT HAVE NO LOYALTY TO THE PATCH OR BROTHERS AND FOR MAJORITY OF THEM ALL THEY KNOW IS GANG MENTALITY! Your a lot older then me and definitely have more knowledge and experience but my sponsor was 62 and made sure to bring me in right the way he was !
Every man should have a little gangster in him especially if hes patched in. If you think you're going to join a real club and not ever have an issue that goes left and needs to get handled you're living a fantasy. So if you cant be gangster when its needed then join a co-ed riding club....
was gonna say I don't feel like they are making things worse being heck growing up back in the 80s-90s as you said there was actual bombings, bigger ride by's, a ton more bang's between all the clubs. Heck i remember visiting my uncle when he lived in detroit and it was a warzone back then far more so than now because back then you had all the MC's fighting and such then you also had the actual other groups of mob and gang types then they would even go after the MC's there. Of course they are a lot more "cleaner" typed than any of us gen x'ers I think because well all of us older types played outside and got dirty a lot and stayed that way where the younger bunch don't so much. I mean there are those that don't give any respect at all no matter what and yet demand it which isn't how that works as we all know but is what it is. Of course back then the big bombings were about the only thing that would be mentioned a day or two after the fact and maybe once or twice otherwise it was nothing more than newspaper worthy news at best. These days everyone has a cell which means more likely than not someone gonna catch someone in the act without a doubt and then it's up to them to figure out if they want to post it or not. Then they will have to deal with any fallout that goes with doing so.
I agree about this generations technology dependence or is it an addiction? That is something to ponder another day. This generation doesnt have clue or refuse to understand that they are making a case for law enforcement to used against them in a court of law. My personal believe that the reason they say this generation is more violent then previous generations is one like you said instant access to club business any where in world. But mostly because they no longer abide by the boundaries set by our generation and earlier. Families were off limits, they weren't targeted and acts of violence weren't carried out in front them. Homes were off limits. Clubhouses sure it is club property on the street fair game unless family was involved. This is no longer case. Family members have, well should have no business being involved with club business unless they members. Thus they should never be targets for something they should know nothing about. There is no honor in going after the family that is cop and corrupt legal system bullshit.
Hollywood, i would love to see a historical dive on dresser clubs from the 1950s. We hear a lot about chopper era and forward. If i understand correctly, there were dresser clubs that were the real deal.
ya don't see the dirt and grime on the vest anymore. ya dont see the leather jacket and the boots. You see long socks with shorts, clean vests, gucci fanny packs and gold everywhere. Yes, things change but culture and tradition shouldn't. at this point the only thing modern club members share with the old ones is that they just wear the same patch, completely different people.
I've recently joined a club . Ya bang on the pants. There is one member that I swear only owns 1 pair lol. And the bikes never get washed. Unless I've washed them 😂. Hello from Saskatchewan eh!
Hollywood good video I understand Completely I'm in eastern Canada which makes no difference but it's really hard to explain but I want no hate on me for these word's I'm just a civilian and will and would never join an M.C because the hard-core violence and drug use or tha politics respectfully but one true story an outfit ((mc in my city actually had people that couldn't tell a blue softtail from being a blue sportster and that made me not feel good about how things are run here it's not supposed to be funny but what fucking world are we in now I understand the U.S.A bikers wouldn't make that slip and yes I know my motorcycle history since like 2002 in my town in Canada and lastly I can tell Softtail's from / Dyna's to / Baggers these cats yes I'm just talking about my city need to get there head in the game but that's my only two cents and I plan on just being a citizen and making my own money so I can get a Boss girlfriend thanks Hollywood - June 24th 2024
I am the younger generation though and although many older guys think this way us younger ones do look up to you guys. Its that same dirty biker that I seen and wanted to be just like. There just needs to be a mutual respect and understanding of a different time.

The difference I see, the newer generation would rather pull a gun than fist fight.. I've been riding over 50 years, it has changed
True
Yup and they wear skinny jeans !!

Yep, to afraid to knuckle up
Being from Brooklyn, its great to hear you mention the legend, Indian Larry. Gone too soon, but his shop here is still rockin.
Agreed
Hell yeah
Gangsters don't have the balls, to do what old school bikers will do.
Because of technology

Usta be only 1% of the biker community were bangers, but evil will always take over, if you allow in. It's ALL by design.
Always dig when I talk about history. That’s something I wish the newer generation of Independent Riders would learn.
Nice!
