Omg, the first war happened against the British raj is in the period of 1780, VELUNACHIYAR the Queen of Sivagangai district of Tamil Nadu, she knows six languages(Tamil,telugu, kannadam,malayaalam, urdu and English) the only Indian Queen(Age 50) who defeated the British raj and nawabs(revenge for her husband murder) with the help of Maruthu Brothers(small land ruler) and Hyder aly (Muslim king of pollachi) and also this victory claimed by the India's first humanoid Qulee (woman warrior of VELUNACHIYAR's army) fired himself and jumped into the Britisher's gunpowder storage room, Queen VELUNACHIYAR dead in Jan 3 1796, still Tamil Nadu government preserving her sword for her historical memory, this vedio showing the sense of North Indians who doesn't have a single knowledge of South Indian histories what a shame,,,.

Subsidiary alliance does not mean subsidy but an alliance where monarchy(foreign policy and defence) under british's hand. Do not give wrong concept.
Lord Cornwallis under directions from the then British PM, William Pitt, proposed the Permanent Settlement system in 1786. This came into effect in 1793, by the Permanent Settlement Act of 1793

This is factually incorrect.
The Paika Rebellion from Odisha (known as Kalinga) is the first war of independence that started in 1817 much before the Sepoy mutiny of 1857.
It's officially corrected. Ministry of Human Resources, GOI confirmed it in 2017 and the text books have got changed after that.
1857 was major and involved all sectors, like soldiers, hindus, muslims, rulers, sadhus etc
All people of Odisha should report this video as spam or misleading. Due to incorrect data regarding paika bidroha held in 1817.
