I find that shopping at multiple stores makes me spend more money. So I make a weekly meal plan and place a pickup order at my local Walmart each Friday. It prevents impulse buys as well. Note: Friday is the best day I have found to do grocery pickup b/c Walmart usually has all items in stock! I also buy the bulk of my proteins from Sam's Club once a month, so we stick to a budget of around $650 for a family of 4 each month.
Same here for me and I only have two local stores really if I want to go to multiple stores I’d have to drive 30 minutes away which to me then I’m just spending the money on gas that I would save going to multiple stores
I mostly skip these videos because I only have Walmart and a small local grocery to shop at, but, when I do watch( cause your so sweet ) I usually learn about a new product I normally can order from Amazon 👍🏻I bought the Cherry Twist last week, I was shocked our small Walmart carried it. Have a blessed week.
My number 1 saving money on groceries is to always use what you have and add to it, so that no food is wasted. I also only buy what is on sale and plan my menu around what i have and what was on sale.
I make a list of what I need. Then I check online to see what the groceries are offering as deals. Then I have an idea of where to start shopping. Sometimes I find some sales that are not on my list but it is good enough to have on hand. Latest find was finding almost 9 pounds of pork loin for $14.70. I bought it and canned it up. Now I can pull a jar off the shelf and have carnitas or whatever I want to make. Most of the time I stick to my list.
1.Have an organized pantry and freezer 2.Buy what's on sale and stock up 3.Meal prep based on what you have on hand 4.Give yourself some grace to eat out, order in or have that treat that you've been craving.
Be realistic about what I can make during the week. (Meaning if I spend a little more on convenience items like pre-cut veggies or some pre-made items) I'm spending a few more dollars up front but not getting fast food because I don't have time to make meals from scratch when I'm working.
I plan out meals for a week or two in advance, check my freezer and pantry to see what ingredients I might need, and make my grocery list accordingly. I may not follow the plan exactly, but I will substitute one meal for another, always knowing what I have to choose from. I also eat a light snack before going shopping, so I don't add impulse buys out of hunger. :)
Thanks for posting Kristi. I live in Canada, so your shopping don't help me. I just LOVE your calming voice and your energy that comes across in the video. I'm always excited to watch whatever you post. I'm so very glad you are feeling better!!! HUGS!
Make a menu, then make your grocery list from the menu, only buy whats you need to make these meals. Do not buy a bunch of snacks, you can buy some snacks ,but don't go overboard.
Only buy what is on sale! We go to Aldi’s, Kroger’s and Costco! Occasionally Big Lots and Ollie’s, unfortunately we rarely find things at these two stores that we use or want. Eat out of your freezer/fridge so nothing is wasted!
Absolutely meal plan and I don’t cook dinner everyday, hubby and I eat off a dinner meal every other day! Only meal I cook because hubby usually only two meals a day! I wish Sam’s will get the pecans back, that was my favorite treat.
I don't have a tip because we only shop at one store which has good prices for sure. But I have to giggle, I don't normally watch the videos because I'm playing them in the back ground at work, but today I did and man, if anyone is just reading this, your grocery bill is a at least $1000 dollars because the close caption is leaving out the decimal or just adding extra numbers. Not sure if you can fix that or if that is a you tube glitch.
Cut out the junk, even items claiming to be keto. If you don’t have it, you won’t eat it😄 You may find some deals at the grocery but I’m afraid you can spend even more money getting into the Keto website subscription sites. 😢
Well, I just watched Serious Keto and he explained why on line Keto products are expensive and it makes sense. I guess they’re just a little kinda out of my budget.
I shop the 50% off hurry up and eat this meat. Soda stream cut out all sodas and low carb sweet drinks. Cut out keto snacks and breads. I save a lot this way.
I use Walmart pickup and delivery a lot so when I can see the cost as I’m shopping, I tend to spend less. I take stuff out of my cart I may not really need. It helps me to see my total as I go instead of waiting until I get to checkout and can’t remove items.
@@SouthernKristi thank you! Only downside is paying delivery fee and tip but I still come out cheaper and don’t have to go in the store. I loathe shopping 😂
@SouthernKristi bummer...I feel the pain. I drive an hour and a half to get to United Grocery Outlet. 🙃 Lidl is another great store. We have a couple in our are

Our local Walmart has started selling the Alani cherry twist now
I get the sales ads from two local grocery stores. I only shop from items on those sale ads.

Our Sams finally got them back 2 weeks ago 😊 (mpls.)
Breezeberry sounds fascinating. The variety pack I got at Baja had peach instead and that one was awesome.
BJs not Baja

I'm curious to know what you think of the Prime Hydration drink, I can't drink Alani, I get a reaction to the caffiene.
I'm going to test it in my next What I Eat In A Day video😉

Find a Food Distributor that sells to the public or has a salvage store. I also love Amish Communities.
Great tip
Im lucky to get to one store for groceries. Don't have that luxury 😢
Sorry
Restaurant supply store has incredible meat prices, catch is you have to buy a lot at once. Also has the best price on sugar free coffee syrups.
Great tip
