Wow, just wow !! As a former motocrosser, man I wish supermotos were a thing when I was riding. It’s the perfect mix of bike, rider, road race and hoonigan.
badass but slow... the bike is so unsettled, and the rider is waiting for the bike to gather itself together... on a similar note 0:45 imagine those two rows of tires were concrete barriers, years ago saw Scott Russell & Josh Hayes zipping supermotos around Little Talladega like that, no way they're gonna get thru there going that fast, but of course they did
I’m 65 and I just got back into riding a year ago after a 39 year break. My biggest fear was leaning in the corners. I’ve been working hard on leaning into corners. Great video and great riding and it just makes you want to get on your bike and go.
It is the number one skill you MUST become proficient at! Counter steering! Look into it. Lots of good videos here on RUclips, I like the ride like a pro videos with Jerry Paladino. Stay safe out there my fellow riders and remember.. everyone else out there is trying to kill you.. don’t give them the opportunity 😎✌️
I can't imagine what you need to go through to get to this level. I'm seeing smashed bikes, broken legs, endless pain and suffering as a rite of passage to this nirvana. Faarking awesome riding mate. I ride a Ninja 1000 these days, grew up on dirt and have done track days on a Blackbird, CBR1000XX etc., but doing what you do is beyond belief. Cheers from Sydney - Dave
Excellent work Brandon , bloody amazing as a matter of fact , now it makes even more sense that you are so comfortable “riding the slide “ on your Dynavolt Triumph .👍🏻💪
Hot damn, this vehicle control is insane. It took me years to grasp the basics and somewhat reliably drift in a ( sim - ) car. But on a motorcycle - this is simply astonishing.
Miss riding/racing my supermoto's so much 🥲 You get old and it catches up with you …. 50 years of riding on road, plus racing off road and Supermoto … It takes a toll Great riding Squire 🙂
Amazing…both man and machine. Beautiful. Terror for us old schoolers…just another day of having fun for the young guns now blazing new trails in our favorite sport.
Damn man!!!! Just floating and drifting that track. Must be a beautiful feeling to be able to ride like that❤️🙏 Every day would be a great day to be able to enjoy yourself like that. What a good feeling it must be🙏😊
Incredible! Hope you recover 100% from your back injury. Edit: Just saw the dates and your recovery in other videos. Looks like you hardly skipped a beat. Cheers.
#supermoto Brandon , I hope you get everything back in working order. I had a C6 shattered a long time ago when I stuck the second face of a double. Not big, but it stuck and I slammed the bars with my chest, snapping my neck forward. I know they told me if the furthest extremities come back then all is good. From there it is just if there is any spinal cord damage. I had some, because a piece of bone pushed into my spinal cord, but not enough to stop me from walking and riding after recovery. To most it isn't noticeable, some muscle mass loss. I just can't run and have some specific muscle loss, not working. But walking, bicycling, and motorcycling no problem. Been 32 years ago and I'm going strong. I hope your recovery is fast and 100%, sounds like it will be so. I will be listening to your interview on Tank Slappin' (haven't gotten that far yet) and hope to get to Daytona next year and see you race. Good fortunes to you for a speedy recovery. Work hard to get all you can.
Very nice, and sweet vid & editing too. As a former dirt & street racer/rider, and a former Kart racing champion, I'm loving that track. Where is it? How do your lap times compare to a 125 shifter?
You young riders have the right bikes and tires . Something we did not have 45-50 years ago . I remember riding atop of my RD 350 3 times on a negative degree left turn " I go left it slopes to the right" RD kept going right . Damn this guy is good .
Supermoto is so cool. More spectacular than road racing . I saw two times in the past races in the world championship . Now i drive as often as i can on that track for free because is abandoned .
Just bought an Husqvarna smr 570, 2004. It is way different than my old bmw k75; way more fun. It's very intense. Popping a micro-micro-wheelie and sliding when braking when I did not even want to. I have zero experience with it, but after one ride, I really want to learn more.
Thats what I was thinking. Seems like the rear tire is broken loose with the brake but then transitioned to power and it just seems like in that transition from brake to power it would hook and highside. Maybe they don't use rear brake like I'm thinking. Also it seems like the tire would "go off" with all the sliding, like just get slippery from overheat. Are the races short enough that this isn't a problem so the technique works? Or is this just screwing around and not actually the fastest way around the track? Interesting to see this as it's so different than the riding I did 20 years ago.
Hey Brandon, I just got my SmR, and never had an SM before. Really want to learn to how slide it , but I need to start easy, what to learn first ? Do you have some beginner sm slide prep videos ? For newbs :)
That's really cool, and overall awesome. I'm not that much of a rider myself, i just realize that all of those low bike turning i saw from some action movie and animation is actually possible?
