    Confucius taught that ritual should be a means of building and maintaining character.
    A person is not religious if they are not regulated outside of ritual, even if they take a hand full of hours a day.
    A person is not religious, if their relationship is not directed towards the rest of life and creation.
    It starts will fulfilling ritual obligations, though.

    Jazakum Allahu Khairan Shaikh, but it is natural, even normal, for us as human beings to make judgemental calls every day and even on every important matter, consciously or unconsciously. What is required is for us to judge with justice and avoid prejudice and biases, but judge we must. Otherwise, how will we govern our lives...

      The problem isn't judging. The problem is to judge with insufficient information.

      @@Thaqlain Yes, but unfortunately, this is not an ideal world. People do not always have access to sufficient information on the spot to deal with every issue. So you use your best judgment, or reserve your judgment, and hope for the best from Allah swt. Jazakum Allahu Khairan.
