Negima has always been badass, so many moments I can't count..., like the fight with Jack Rakan, the last fight with Fate Averruncus, or when he shows off his Magia Erebea for the first time against a group of mercenaries...all badass!
how about they finally properly make an anime that follows the story from the beginning to the end without doing what they did with the OVAs. and kind of a better animation. now that'd be great..
If i remember right the animation was good yeah. I was talking about the anime series when talking about bad animation. What i meant about the OADs is that it looked like they were making the entire series into OADs with skipping a lot of points. But then they stopped after the 5th OAD and a movie to 'finish it up'. Even Ken Akamatsu was mad about how they did it.

watched the anime like "look how they massacred my boy" then the ova's came out and redeemed it. if only it didn't deviate so badly or maybe changed the pacing they may have been able to save it like they did with katekyo hitman reborn but it wasn't meant to be sadly.
I would recommend you read it, its based on the grandfather of the protagonist of UQ holder and in my opinion he is one of the best action series leads I have seen.

son goku I think the OADS for a low budget have great animation.
