How do i enter a loan that i have to pay in installments? Let’s say i owe someone money and i pay in installments, then how do i keep track of my loan balance?

Simply open his ac in accounts and credit laon amout the debit the amount when you paid if any intrest charges in loan you can also entry one inrest entery under expance to that loan ac so you can easly manage loan ac
if any bank loan you download repayment schedule from bank or finance company or if you pay to your friend so no interest entry required.
