The way spencer sings and the instrumentals makes it sound like your walking through a video game as a character in resident evil. All of there stuff is very well done.

@@Slipperyslope92 they aren't following them, bmth doesnt own the rights to doing this. and INK has been original, i've never seen any bands apart from a very small minority make entire albums based off of books and songs they enjoy. most of the time it's just a one off song, not entire albums. SO they have been pretty original, and one song that sounds like bmth doesnt change that. You could argue that bmth stole a lot from nin, and that nin stole from skinny puppy, and on and on. but that's not the point of music

@@caolanochearnaigh9804 Shadow of Intent's Primordial and Reclaimer albums are Halo themed and not exactly subtle about it. Like one song on Primordial is literally called "The Didact's Will" and on Reclaimer there's an instrumental track called "The Great Schism" and the track "The Mausoleum of Liars" directly quotes the Gravemind.
However be warned, the band is Deathcore in nature and may not be to your tastes.

However, certain bands, (I'M LOOKING AT YOU, INFANT ANNIHILATOR,) are complete trash, purely because of their absolutely abhorrent and sickening subject matter.
@@caolanochearnaigh9804 I just figured it'd be best to give a warning anyway, and only recently found out about INK so no I actually haven't.
Also, for more game themed metal there's Lords of the Hunt from Dragony which name drops Yharnam before the first thirty seconds of the video pass (And if you want a music video with game and movie references and looks like it was done just to have some fun watch their If It Bleeds We Can Kill It music video, which while not about a game IS about a classic Movie Monster that has featured in several games. You can probably guess which based off the song and music video title.) and is very much a song about Bloodborne, there's also the song Kiln of the First Flame which is... Well, it's a Dark Souls inspired song. And if you are interested in a bit of Wheel of Time inspired music there's Flames of Tar Valon.
And for more game inspired music in general there IS of course both Aviators and Miracle of Sound with Aviators there's A LOT of Soulsborne music while Gavin does whatever interests him at the time. Aviators also has recently done some Lovecraft themed songs like Dreams of the Deep (Which is about Call of Cthulhu) and a generally Lovecraftian track called Can You Hear It.
And if you're interested in Warhammer, Battletech, and a few other things (Like Touhou for instance) there's Stringstorm. Who is _probably_ best known for 40k tracks like the theme from If The Emperor Had a Text-To-Speech Device.
Also, if you want some tracks made FOR video games there's at least Homeworld (The Ladder) by Yes if you have a taste for Prog-Rock and Blow Me Away by Breaking Benjamin and is in one of the most ICONIC parts of a video game level in gaming history.
And, as a bonus, if you like Berserk there is Beast in Black, there's one track on their self-titled album (The Fifth Angel to be specific about the track) that straight up uses audio from the anime.
Man this has devolved into a very nerdy bunch of recommendations... But before I go, have you heard Architects of Doom?

But they'll move onto something else with their next album, whether they base it on concepts about video games (which is my assumption, because etitb featured lots of books that inspired movies, and now they have a song about a movie that was inspired by a game) or they move back to regular songs. Nothing wrong with what they're doing. not to mention there's ten more songs left.

Rainy Day (remaster or a sequel song)
Castlevania (maybe a song similar to Bloodbath and Beyond)
Devil May Cry (I mean, this should be a no-brainer...)
Doom (Again, an obvious choice)
Dead Space (This one could be very echo-y and reverberate the vocals and bass to simulate isolation and emptiness)
Mass Effect (This could be made as a counterpart to Dead Space, very instrument heavy, up in your face, making it seem like the audio is everywhere and is almost like a crowd of people, or they could focus on the "end of days" angle and make it more about The Reapers)
Fallout (Maybe have this one inspired by the song from the Dead Money DLC for New Vegas, giving it a slower amd somber feeling)
Silent Hill could be done 2 ways in my opinion: the first option is a grungy, underground, gravel-y vocal piece to help illustrate the way the games are mostly rusted metal and fires... OR is could be done in a way that focuses on the psychological aspect, leaving us with a sort of unnerving song kinda like Tess-Timony.
Bioshock could either focus on the horror and gene editing stuff, or it could focus on the story of Rapture itself and serve as a way to recap what happened from before the game til the end of Minerva's Den.
And this song would just be fun for the sake of fun (like how Ex-Mörtis is just fun and goofy like the source material), but a song about Lollipop Chainsaw would rock.
And another movie that'd make a great song is The Amityville Horror... If they could get Ryan Reynolds to cameo in the video, that'd make it WAAAAAY better.
Or somehow manage to make a song that references Elvira and manage to get her to join on vocals or cameo in the video... Somehow.

This song is absolutely Sick as a Resident Evil Fan I Fucking Love This song so much
Ok so I'm going to say it but this song... is sort of below average which I hate to say
The reason for isn't because it's lighter or because I was really excited to see them tackle a Resident Evil song but the issue is that this song just feels like it's doing the bare minimum, Hip To Be Scared was great because it was doing something interesting, it had an identity to it, Assault and Batteries was great because it was very much an Ice Nine Kills song but it focuses on what INK do well and doubles down, Assault and Batteries is without a doubt one of the best INK songs to me because of that, it had great verses, a hooky chorus, a pretty good breakdown and we got a killer guitar solo along with it
With Rainy Day though, the first issue is that it feels very rushed, the verses feel like they're just rushing to the chorus which is pretty good and the best part about this song but then verse two does it again... then we get the chorus and then we get the breakdown which should've been so much more, it felt cut short as well, it needed to be dragged out and the clean vocals that come in midway through just ruined it for me, the breakdown should've been left to breathe on its own and have the clean vocals come in slightly afterwards
The guitar work is pretty good but all in all, it's nothing we haven't heard before and this song definitely reminds me of Obey by Bring Me The Horizon but what made Obey great was the diversity with the vocals and the instrumentals, even if Yungblud wasn't featured and Oli did that verse it'd still be a good verse because it's given time and it's got more going on whereas in Rainy Day by INK it feels very flat, I also don't like Spencer's vocal delivery on the verses either because they just feel very much the same throughout, there's no diversity in this song
All in all, this just feels like a very safe and very standard song, if I was to compare it to anything it'd be Annihilation by Fit For A King which has a very similar issue, both songs just felt very rushed, very safe and very run of the mill, I'm still excited for the upcoming album but I just hope that there's songs on the album that have more depth and substance to them because I feel like this song doesn't really justify it's own existence other than it's the 25th year since Resident Evil began

Pretty sure the game. Due to the part in intro, RUN. They created as if you were in the game. There are so many resident evil movies a band could easily create an album dedicated to it. Therefore all the video games are more similar.

Definitely not my favorite. They usually put so much easter eggs and show they really are fans of what they write about, but w this one besides the beginning lines there's really not a big way to realize which game it is. I loved listening to Silver Scream for the first time and guessing what it was. With this there's not enough clues and eggs. Feels a bit boring tbh and I hate saying that because I really wanted it to be amazing! I still like it, it's just kind of low on the list for me.
