Cody is as same easy as Mike, his shifting is very useful, but this time, my friend Arnold Q.P stop use shifting to playthrough, the game's difficulty is Double Hardest.

damn I feel so bad for the people that grew up playing arcade games like this. they probably miss these times rn
These games always bring me back to my childhood, playing video games(arcad in this particular case) was my addiction and I was so good that I bit almost all of them(the ones I liked back then) only with one coin, especially since I didn't have money and I would hardly earn 1 coin. I long for that era where everything was simple but full of joy ^_^ nice gameplay, almost similar to my style of playing except the 'shifting' part !
I love that classic sound Cody makes when he does a jump kick, its like a "jaaap!" And when he throws you its like a "yeap!"
I like the fact that it says "INSERT COIN" for the second player.. Classic!! brings back so many memories

Guy didn't beat up Cody in the ending. Guy stopped Cody from walking away from Jessica (weird I know).
Jessica betrays Cody. When he gets arrest , she didn't tried to protect him and not even waits for him coming back. After all that , she just.... leaves him...
... Is that the Final Fight Revenge story? Because if I remember correctly, Cody got framed for Jessica's death by Poison.
She actually left him because he refused to stop street fighting. He was jailed for crimes he didn’t commit AS WELL as crimes he did. He had become a thug in Metro City, picking fights with anyone just for a trill. She got tired of it and saw he wouldn’t change. His dismissive attitude wouldn’t have helped either

She’s never seen again after Alpha 2 I think.
Cody is the best character in game,a well balanced fighter with better range than Guy or Haggar,which is very usefull against Andore`s charge.He is also the deadliest with weapon.I can beat this game with only 3 credits when using him while with Guy or Haggar I easily get outnumberd by enemies.
I always chuckle at Poison's death sound.

Simply fantastic strategy! All props to you, my friend. I've playing this game since 1989 (now only in MAME of course...) and still spend until three coins to defeat Edi E. and Rolento...Oh, I hate these MF's... Now, watching your ruses against them, I will try to get better.
But I'd like to see a playthrough with Haggar, Guy or with two players simultaneously with that same style. It would be great! Thanks for sharing.

Hi, can i ask you if this is Hardest Hardest, then where is Hollywood, on the last fuse before Belger ???? Either this is not hardest hardest, or this particular game was based on the bug, because this Hollywod sometimes is not showing himself. Both ways it doesnt count

this game reminds me of an old arcade after school. there's no reminiscences in recent games.
I only started playing this game this year (I use MAME). First my favourite character was Guy; I've always liked him since seeing him in Street Fighter Alpha days many many moons ago (though he likes quite different here, less glamorous and more gritty/worn). Then I liked Mike Haggar for his Freddie Mercury style looks and his piledriving madness, and for the fact that I thought the idea of a mayor/fighting-machine who personally took care of criminal gangs firsthand hilarious and awesome at the same time.
But then I saw Cody and his lightning-fast knifing skills which can cut through hordes of enemies like they were hot butter, and right now he might be my fav.

again, this is not cheating, if you think its cheating ,you have to tell us where and which part make no sense. cause this is played in one time on Mamemore. anyone who knows this game a little bit can tell its abviously no cheating normal playthrough. ok, show me your point, which part you think make no sense?
When Cody fights F. And G. Andores why they not throw him or charge at him? In my opinion Cody outranges Andore's throw and his combo can stops Andore's charge. Is it right?

I am 40 years old with a body of 30, I remember this game in the arcades in the late 80s. I was 9 years old when I played it in the arcade. the version for PS3, but none of these tricks exist has to do everything in the race ah I wish I could have a menu to be able to modify some things mainly the lives that are very few.Playing this game on PC is for cowards

Nice run, i remember i used to finish this game using 1 coin in the arcades, i could only do it with cody and haggard, being with haggard the easiest one i never managed to do it with guy and now that i downloaded the game for mame32 i cant even go past the 4th stage, thing is i didnt remember some of the ways i used to take care of some situations but with this video i remembered some, i dont use the same moves though and i never used shifting and backjump rush.

I think "Bonus Life" means the player earns a 1-up every 100k points. It doesn't mean extra health.

How do u throw them when the enemies are punch distance? Like u have to go closer normally but u just cancel punches into a throw? Also how do u do that backwards knee jump?

I absolutely love the Streets of Rage trilogy, but I find myself repeat-playing Final Fight arcade a lot more than SoR. Just 45 minutes of intense action as I use my exercise bike (my laptop goes on top of the bike panel) for a complete game. Extremely satisfying.
I avoid SNES Final Fight 2 and 3, because from the gameplay footage I've seen of them, I think I'd just be disappointed and be better off playing Final Fight arcade again instead.
Final Fight 2 is a really decent and solid game but it doesn't do anything new. Final Fight 3 has more moves but it feels like a cheap knock off.
Final Fight 2's fucking awful, you're doing the right thing avoiding it.
Final Fight 3's better but yeah it doesn't feel the same as FF1, it's solid and worth trying out but keep in mind you're gonna be playing a slower and less intense game.

Thankyou for doing a legit playthrough without using that mind numbingly boring "infinite combo" cheat. I hate seeing that cheat, along with all those videos that have a cheat throw hack and other cheat hacks, they are so pointless!

CatSkinCap The two difficulties are for 1P and 2P modes.

CatSkinCap IIRC, Difficulty A governs the general difficulty of the game whereas Difficulty B adjusts the health levels of enemies. With B at highest you get quite a few common enemies with green life-bars as you get further into the game.
How many Final Fight characters appear later in Street Fighter series? Guy, Cody, Hugo (Andore), Poison...

make a walkthrough video from game oldies, i think the version of final fight they have there is way tougher than what i see in this walkthrough. It seems as if they are not hitting at all. Haven't seen 50% of the usual hit attempts that bosses and others do.
but the game I have is on android so the combination attacks are a little hard

I don't understand how / why he's not getting burned in the flames at the first part of the industrial district. Also there was a missing Holly Wood in the fight just before the main boss end fight, weird...
Never knew you could just grab the samurai boss after he got up, he would always just run over me. Will have to try that and actually see if it works
Overall good fighting though, hardest difficulty or not I'm pretty amazed you didn't get caught in some no win situations, especially on the last level with such little food around.
Lastly, what's with all the back flips?
Back jumping/flipping is the fastest way to move, the purpose is to shift the screen along quicker to minimize enemy spawns, you might notice some enemies are missing.
+dcobbism There are "spots" in the flame patterns which the chars can walk without being burned. P1 starts already on a spot (just jump the first 2 flames). P2 is a little tricky: at the start of the stage, tap the joystick up, so the char walk up just a little bit. Jump the first 2 flames and you're on the way.
this is,of course,awesome,super skill!next time can you try to beat it without the special spinning kick+no shifting again.

É isso que ele chama de "shifting", que significa "mudança", "troca de posição", que é manha universal pra esse jogo. E o mérito dele é justamente esse: "no shifiting", ou seja, sem esse macete.
Mas foi como o andre3315c falou aí embaixo: com o Cody é fácil, quero ver com o Haggar ou o Guy...

Por que Cody simplemente se largaba sin hacerle caso a Jessica. Algo asi como "reacciona bestia, la chica te llama". Al menos, con esa teoria he vivido los ultimos 20 años :)
Muchos creen que es cosa de celos de Guy, pero en Final Fight 2 deja claro que Guy tiene su propia chica y hasta donde se, nunca le importo Jessica.
