42 mins in locking of the jobs, is this something that then the part can be re-stocked at the component level or the finished goods level without a warehouse set up or do you need to then change the parts classificiation within the master data to show that its now not gone from started to finsihed items for make to order, its now gone from components to make to stock - in turn 2 classifications against 1 part number?
I have used ERP software for over 30 years. I however, I have only been using Epicor for the past month. These Estes videos have been a fantastic way for me to learn much faster than I would have normally. While Brad Feakes seems less than thrilled about being in Wisconsin, I personally love being here. Granted, I am down near Madison. We had an issue arise today. We had entered forecasted demand, which MRP drives down through manufactured assemblies. However, we are not seeing the demand in either Time Phased Inquiry, or Suggested Purchase Orders. No settings like Planning Time Fences, Days of Supply, etc. are set. However, I have seen online that Suggested PO's might only occur if there is a firm Job, not a planned order. If correct, that could be our issue. Curious if anyone subscribed to this channel might have an answer.
Hey Todd, welcome to the Epicor world. I only dump on Wisconsin when it’s cold, and it’s been cold a lot lately 😊. I conferred with my team. If the Generate Suggestions process didn’t run yet, it would make sense that it didn’t show up. But it is indeed strange that the forecast is not showing up in Time Phase. Time Phase looks at the PartDtl table, among others, to compile its information. There should be a trigger that writes to the PartDtl table when the forecast was entered, so there could be a problem here. That might be affected by how the forecast was entered. If you have any questions, you can ping me directly at bfeakes@estesgrp.com.
@@estesgroupestescloud Thank you Brad. I will contact you privately. We have run Generate Suggestions a bunch of times. I will send an email in a bit. Thank you!!
This was very helpful. Thank you.
