I took a second Engel that I borrowed from my brother on the Canning Stock Route , running one as a fridge and the other as a freezer. The CSR is known as the toughest and remotest track in Australia and both worked superbly.
How do they handle the heat? I am looking for potential replacement of mine as it doesn't like the 45 degree days under the teaunea cover and gives an error. I am a fan of dometic and use the PLB40 as a dual battery setup. 🍻
Are there fridges that have a good lid that opens both ways? Say for in the back of a troopy where you want to open it from the inside, or the side window if you're outside

These things are junk, I am a long term heavy user of my CFX 95dz. The 12v stopped working and good old dometic basically told me to shove it. Now I have to run the inverter 24/7
