"because I feel very uncomfortable looking at it at that angle"... I remember Brad ending up on his roof two rounds in a row back in the day, so I get it. I'm surprised there's not Middys branding on the bottom of the car!
@@wazzawalker6536 I remember after he went over in NZ they put the BOC signage on upside down at the next round in Perth. Then when he ended up on his roof again in Perth, we saw there was also a BOC logo under the car too. I'm surprised after that experience they haven't always put a logo on the bottom of the car! :) I also remember there being an arrow and "This Side Up" or similar, but I don't remember instructions although that would have been amusing.
Thanks Mr Supercars👍👍👍, you’ve show us punters more on what’s going on with the sport than clowns 🤡 running the show!. Can’t wait for the next round to see what mustangs are going to run into each other while in contention for the win😂😂😂
Thanks for the video Brad!! Question though ?? Surely that machine instead good for the suspension on that side of car ?? Would you change the suspension on that side prior to race day??
Looks like the shocks get replaced with a solid bar, so they couldn't be damaged by the process. The rest of the arms, uprights, etc probably cop a much greater pounding from the kerbs at most tracks, so I wouldn't imagine any of the suspension components could be damaged gently tipping it up like that.
I use a similar method to measure my slot cars. Except I rotate the car to 90 degrees and measure the weight at the pivot and the opposing rest point. Then do the maths to find the CoG. Im assuming the longitudinal and lateral CoG is just done by measuring the weight at each wheel? Whats the tolerance +/- 10mm ?
Awesome video, just a tip for who ever is doing the editing, at the very least, normalise the final queue or ideally, manually match all the different audio sources in the video to the same db.
seems complicated to do, just fit the fixed rods, fit solid wheels, 4 corner scales then lift front or rear know your angle and new weights, same for left to right, some trig and you've got it
@Aduki65 Exactly this. The days of cars winning Bathurst by multiple laps are long gone. Tje days of the late 80's where there were all sorts of protests about illegal cars are long gone.
@Aduki65 There is no such thing as different makes, as they are "exactly the same". Yes the old days have gone and so have the days where car manufacturers are no longer striving to be better at what they do, because they have no challenges and no benchmarks to try and beat. If a manufacturer was at the top of their game and laps in front, so be it, they deserved it. It should be up to the others to up their game.
As long as there are more chevs than fords and the chevs are winning the parity must be correct. Thanks for the insight, It never ceases to amaze me the amount of BS Supercars go to make the category so unequal. 🤡🤡🤡 At least the F2s & 3s were entertaining at the GP.
awesome info sharing as awlays BJR.
side note, the music is wayyy too loud for the gain level of Brad's microphone.
These videos are the best. Why Supercars don’t do this is beyond me keep up the great work BJR.
All your Videos are excellent; they are great and informative. As a V8 Supercar fan, I appreciate them. Great work BRAD.
I learn something new every time I watch these videos!!
Thanks for sharing this with us Brad.
Excellent description of the CoG test. Top stuff as usual Brad. Tip: Lower the background music volume.
Great content Brad, thanks for giving us an insight into the best touring car series in the world.

I recall the team putting some instructions under the car after that Jim.

Amazing
Thanks for another awesome video that shows us the inside to what goes on behind the scenes at Supercars
With all the info as usual Brad. Thank you
Another fantastic video showing the BTS... but my ears are bleeding from the "music"!!
Thank you Brad
fascinating, I had no idea. Great video!
Just amazing. Thank you

I would know nothing about the cars if it wasn't for Brad.
Thanks for the video Brad!!

May I ask - what angle does it get to before it starts to tip?

Question for Brad, do you drain the oil? Or does it just roll into one bank of cylinders
The cars run a dry sump system, so the oil is in an external (to motor) reservoir. So no worries of oil filling a bank of cyclinders
Thanks for sharing BJR but where’s the stickers on the bottom from yesteryear 😂
Great video as always, but please, turn down the volume on the unnecessary music !
I thought the centre of 'gravity' was the 'v'?
Awesome video, just a tip for who ever is doing the editing, at the very least, normalise the final queue or ideally, manually match all the different audio sources in the video to the same db.
I saw the thumbnail and thought, how are they going to do that, hang the car in the air? Well, yes, that's exactly how!
Brad I remember you were awesome at going past the centre of gravity ... BTW - lose the music!
what the fucks up with that squeaking earpain "music"
the music is to loud and just bad in this video
seems complicated to do, just fit the fixed rods, fit solid wheels, 4 corner scales then lift front or rear know your angle and new weights, same for left to right, some trig and you've got it
Good video, BAD MUSIC!
Crap music
Those words are what has destroyed V8 Supercars. "Everything, exactly the same". Boring

This is y this category is a joke soon stupid cars will even charge teams for the air in their tyres. What a joke.
