  • Windrock Trail 16 is rough. Don't believe them when they tell you it is flat and graded out due to the Pipeline work. Its hard to see in the video how bad some of the rocks and ruts were. The camera seems to flatten out the look of the trail but I assure you, it's rough on a Stock Rubicon but we made it!

    Been there, done that. 2 years ago with my stock Rubicon 2019 2 door. No spotters. Been going off road since 1984 with my C J 7, which I still have.

      Matt Tipton stressful at times but I’m glad we did it. Our Jeep is lifted and has 37” tires on beadlocks now. It would definitely be easier now. Haha.

    I wheel with a bunch of idiots who do this as a night ride...looks fun.
    Side note, get a winch blanket and keep the kiddos back from the area. If the cable snaps, it's like a gun going off; it doesn't care who is in the way.

      Rich Wyatt I have a winch blanket but we unfortunately didn’t use it. Need to get better at that. Thanks for the comment. I like to ride during the day to get better camera footage.

    It was on our list but after hearing about washouts from rains not sure it's still a good idea for our mostly stock 2006 Grand Cherokee.

  • @spencerwarren9219

    Trail 16 stock with street tires in yellow jeep was not a good idea. I guess they figured that out about half way thru . Cudose for doing it. Did you do any damage. Put some 33 with a 3 inch lift and still a great daily driver and you won't have any issues on 16. That is what I have on my 2003 tj rubicon and it is also k y daily driver. Tires and lift are a must of you off road.

    • @LJ_AF
      @LJ_AF  2 года назад +1

      It definitely wasn’t the smartest decision but we made it. No damage on 16. The yellow Jeep got a little bit of damage on 51 but he did surprisingly well on the 31” duellers. We just did 16 again a couple of weeks ago with a lift, 37’s and bead locks. Definitely easier this time around and no winching.
