retro and futuristic is probably the best way to describe nct
I hope you can listen to some of their bsides bc honestly NCT biggest flex is having some of the best bsides in the kpop industry. Personally NCT 127 has my favorite bsides of all the units and when I tell you they have no bad songs and they are all god tier I am not lying.

Cherry Bomb is so damn legendary with the whole dance being one of my favourites in kpop, Regular is iconic as well and Highway to heaven is a certified bop that I'll never get tired of. Can't wait till their comeback with 23 members they added 2 more members 😊
They did an english interview where they explained highway to heaven and they were trying not to say it was about sex, it's absolutely hilarious 🤣
Out of NCT127s songs Touch also has a softer vibe and superhuman is a pretty underrated musical masterpiece, not sure why it doesn't get recommended more (with an amazing MV too).
WayVs version of regular is actually my favourite version.
NCT U probably has my favourite songs: Baby Don't Stop, the 7th Sense (NCTs debut), all the vocal line songs Timeless, Without You and Coming Home and the pretty highly underrated Yestoday which I think you'd love.
There is also one song with all 18 members before WayV (but with WinWin, Ten, Lucas and Kun since they'd all been in at least 1 song before WayV) called Black on Black, its more of a performance song to highlight the dance so might not be a playlist type song.

Highway to Heaven MV was filmed in the US and I believe it was to promote their North American tour or filmed during their tour. It is a B-side track and the Korean versions is on their "We are Superhuman" album
I really think Regular kicked off NCT going after success more internationally (specifically the States) and as a consequence they softened the genre hopping to make it...easier(?) on Western audiences. SM already had success with the Latin flavour from other groups, so I do think this song as a title track was a calculated move to appeal broadly before SuperM would take on the challenge in parallel. Anyway, that was a ramble oops. Cherry Bomb is definitely iconic and Regular is a milestone and HTH reminds me of the tour, so all memorable! Thanks for reacting. I'd missed your nct reactions 😊
quite a few nct songs are pretty suggestive and watching them try to explain what theyre about is hilarious especially when taeyong said whiplash was about his sister
Regular English version is certified iconic, and usually the version anyone would recommend, so you did fine choosing that one. There's also the Korean version and WayV's version also known as the Chinese version.
And yeah, the English version of Highway to Heaven was filmed during their US promotions/tour and released a couple months after the We Are Superhuman album that the Korean version appears on. So far most of NCT 127's English tracks are really successful and have a special place in nctzen's hearts :)

A fun fact about Taeyong because he deserves all the love 😔
He was scouted by the company when he was a kid , he was given a piece of bread which make him go into the company with those people who scouted him. And when he was training the dance instructor always pointing out that we was not improving at all. It all happened and happened and it makes me sad, but now, look at him being the main dancer of NCT 🥳 .... and also Taeyong and Mark wrote the rap lyrics for cherry bomb and like co-produced the song. They also wrote many of their songs like Whiplash which Taeyong wrote and Mark and Taeyong also wrote for the company unit group which is SuperM. Regular is high key one of my favorites. But Highway To Heaven is like. 100% my fave. 10/10 song. Its a little sexy but still so fresh, fun, and upbeat. They really get to show off their vocals. The raps fit super well where they are, and even though they are a little silly I feel like that fits so well with the vibe of the song. I love NCT's soft concepts. If you haven't seen Touch, its like god tier soft NCT.

the thing about sm artists is that you can never ever mock about their vocals at all. nct got top notch vocals especially taeil, hyuck, xiaojun, renjun, chenle and doyoung. as a dancer I can say that their choreos are some of the hardest ones too along with svt, gncd and mcnd. those who degrade them clearly doesn'r know what they're talking about.

honestly i feel like that's the thing about NCT songs, the more you listen to it..the more it grows on you. It's always a trip when you listen to their songs for the first time
for most of the czennies, listening to PUNCH was like wtf was that ahahah but it gets super better haha
i’m really hoping you get around to nct u soon! their debut song (and probably the best debut i’ve EVER seen) is “the 7th sense” and is a super unique song
“boss” is probably their most popular nct u song
“baby don’t stop” is a staple for sure, it’s a duo song with just ten and taeyong
“yestoday” is a self written song from taeyong primarily, plus mark. taeyong has been writing it for a very long time and it means a lot to him, but it’s also one of my very favorite nct songs
“boss” “baby don’t stop” and “yestoday” are all releases form their nct 2018 album “empathy,” so i think it’s smart to watch them all together, but “the 7th sense” also fits quite well with them if you’re up for doing 4 reactions in a single video!
there are some vocal line ones like “timeless” “without you” and “coming home” (plus osts but a lot of fans don’t really know about those songs anyways)

Even though they're the same song it's actually worth watching the Korean and Chinese versions of Regular as well, because the meaning changed slightly in each version, and so the "theme" of the videos is different too. I personally like WayV's version the best, but it's possibly just because WayV is my fav sub-unit lol
I see so many infos and recommendations already here so I'll just suggest one thing; maybe give a try to "Regular" korean version too because believe it or not, the language actually makes a difference in the vibe of the song and the lyrics is much more complex (that is because the album had the concept of "dream and reality" which you can feel listening to the songs in the album, going from regular to irregular sequence, making this English version of "Regular" ironically...irregular) 😁
Yes the project coming up is nct2020 is with all of the previous members (Nct127, nct dream, and wayv) as well as two new members shotaro and sungchan! I’m so excited!!
i remember an earlier video where you said you like vocal songs so i have some recs!

- fly away with me (fun pop track, doesn’t have as impressive vocals as the other two but is a very enjoyable song, i recommend finding a live performance for this one too)
but my favorite title track from 127 is “superhuman” and it sounds very different from all of their other songs!
I love so much the takes on random things like the towel on his head and the line of rocks lol great reaction and well nct is very unpredictable, when you think you're getting them, they do something different next and we are all amazed again
i knew highway to heaven would get you haha. I became a fan of NCT 127 for their more "noise" songs (Cherry Bomb, Simon Says, Limitless, Chain, Wakey Wakey etc.) because I appreciate how different their sound is and how SM doesn't keep it safe/follow trends like other companies do with their groups. However, this song is still a favourite of mine because even though its a more "safe", typical pop song compared to their other tracks it works so well. Highway To Heaven is a b-side, and NCT 127 have plenty of b-sides that aren't "noise" music
Highway to Heaven is always on repeat when it comes up in the shuffle. Definitely one of my favorites from NCT 127. Some other favorite B sides include Running 2 U, 0 Mile (the ultimate roller skating song), Good Thing, and Day Dream. As mentioned, God-tier soft NCT 127 is Touch, which will make you squishy inside. For the best version of ‘retro and futuristic’, check out Superhuman. Regular was the song that got me properly into 127 😊 also their b-sides are so good. Especially the ballads
TOUCH is my most favorite NCT 127 song and actually my most favorite out of all NCT songs and High To Heaven is my 2nd favorite. I really love the vibe of the song.

Regular and a focus of that song on Yuta was what got me into Kpop. I adore it. The Korean version is the reality, working hard to make money version and the English one is the dream, swag version. There's also an Irregular Office version that is such a nice dream/trip.

I'm sure someone has already mentioned it, but I'm not seeing it. WayV did a Chinese version of 'Regular.' (It's my favorite version because I love WayV.) But all versions of 'Regular' are awesome and it's one of my favorite NCT songs. As for 'Highway to Heaven,' I imagine it was filmed along Highway 101 in the States. We traveled the 101 a lot during my youth on family vacations and it sure looks like places I've been.
When this song came out, Apple selected them as Artist of the Month, they performed i 4-6? Apple stores clips can be found on You tube. My iconic performance is Simon Says.
