Could not agree more. I had the same thoughts. If Araujo does not go off, Barca would probably have been a CL finalist. And this sounds pretty good to me. It is fine margins in football. And this year the fine margins did not go Barcas way, but this can change pretty quickly. I feel confident about Barcas future as well.

Long time barca fan, the football manager addict type of fan, and i'm gonna say that this is accurate, I think the team over-performed last year and under-performed this year, which happens with high turnover and a young inconsistent team, we are lucky to be under-performing when having a bad season in terms of expectations, which means we are on a good track, especially with the squad depth and injury record, frenkie got injured and is missing 40% of the season which is not habitual, Gavi is out for half of it, Pedri for like 60% and balde also missing for 60% of the season while being our only leftback, cancelo played every game since because we only have one fullback in the team, and ter-stegen's saw us loose a whole lot of points, so in terms of the league I'm happy for to be second, and the UCL we lost in one moment, so yeah given that the team improved over the whole season, with young inclusions to the first team, Barca and Xavi are doing great, I think the worst thing about Xavi is the amount of suspensions he gets, other than that he might be better than all the managers available this and probably next summer.

First off, the king is back. Secondly, ive been saying this for a week now, some of the greatest ever teams had worse seasons then us like chelsea, bayern, even barca under enrique almost did worse

we are set to finish the season with 88 points, and we were robbed of 6 vs madrid twice, we reached the ucl quarters, thats already better the galacticos and dinhos barca in rijkaards final season as manager. Btw if we werent robbed by madrid we would have finished the season with 94 points and them with 93

Bro respectfully this season was terrible. We played terrible football for 90 percent of the season, and only started playing well for the last 6-7 games lol. We struggled in the easiest ucl group, lost all Classicos and only reason we got out of round of 16 was bc we played a 9th placed napoli and than once we acc faced a proper team we got ko. We need a dm and lw to compete again.

The first half of the season was terrible, but things really got better from February. And it is mainly in terms of growth and progress that this season was ‘good’, eventually, this wasn’t really a great season indeed. The title is a little clickbaity when I look back at it now as well.

Give any coach you want for example Hansi Flick and i promise you if he would have been coach this year instead of xavi he wouldnt even be close to doing as good as xavi did this year. You need to understand the cards that xavi has been given. He only had around 5 million euro in transfer budget and with that low amount of money you cant really sign great players. I understand why you feel like xavi is doing worse then the season he won the la liga, but you need to understand that xavi back then had pique, sergio busqets and jordi alba who were very experienced with the system xavi was going to create. When they left xavi didnt have money to spend on the players he wanted plus deco went out and signed players that xavi wasnt really lookin for like ferran torres , raphina, joa felix and much more. So xavi this season was left without the core of the team sergio busqets, jordi alba and pique and he didnt have enough money for the replacements. With the players xavi was left he did very well getting second place on la liga and getting a lot of money through the champions league. Plus he brought lamine yamal and cubarsi who alone put the teams value around 200million plus. This season it looks likely barcelona will get the 1:1 rule back and xavi could be free to signing more players and get the players he wants. If xavi can sign a good cdm like kimmich this summer a good left back and bernardo silva and maybe a left winger for a maximum of 150 million dollars the team will be in a way better shape. This season if barcelona can bring those players that xavi wants we will see what xavi is able to do. So trust on xavi and lets see what he is able to do this year.

Can we please stop keep giving excuses like when you said at the start it's not all bad because of how far we went in the UCL and also because of the talent we produced.
What f does all that mean if you don't win shit?
Do you think we would've been looked at the same had we not won a Sextuple in 2009? And The Treble in 2015?

If we do win something in the coming years, then it’s also because of the growth this team has been through this season. But you’re right as well: eventually, the goal is to win.

I understand what you mean, but it being a good season is based on recent history, like the last 5-6 years, not the overall history of the club. So in a way, both can be true, it was a good season, but it was still a failure.
The team's progress is not an excuse for failure, but insight for the future, where competing changes into winning

Are u this dumb or are u just acting?
Like nobody is giving excuses it was bad in the first half of the season cause we had nobody to replace busquets and gavi got injured
And speaking about Trophies u do know we have gone trophyless even with messi before infact the last season with rijjkard ended trophyless
09 performed that well because everything fell onto the right place
And our cb or rw weren't 17 or 18 too they were like in their 20's or higher and this time we even have financial problems as well
This is how football works u need to understand instead of yapping

@@escobarca8944 I agree to a certain extend with what you're saying.
My problem is I see our fanbase starting to act a lot like Arsenal fans does and I don't want us to accept faillure, we're an ELITE club we SHOULD win, not every season because we compete with Madrid, but at least every other season.
