Hey Thomas! I just ordered one of these record players today! Wondering if you ended up hooking up external speakers to yours? Also, did you replace the cartridge?
Apparently, one way to avoid copyright strikes for music is to use songs sung by Frank Sinatra (according to another RUclips channel of a guy who renovates old stereo consoles and does sound demos) which makes no sense at all, but it's absolutely true. Who knew? ;)
If they are going to make it auto stop why not just make it fully automatic? I too have noticed some records especially older ones with the wavy runout groove causes turntables with supposed auto stop to not stop. I even had one record to play past the run out groove into the center of the paper label. I think that record, however, had a defective pressing and was not the fault of the player but when played on a fully automatic turntable the tone arm lifted and returned. Great video by the way. I would like to get one of these vertical players one day for the visual appeal ❤
Not gonna lie. I don't remember. I have and am currently using this player with its internal speakers, and they give plenty of volume and sound surprisingly good, in my opinion.
@@crankyscorner8433 How do you have an amp connect to it btw? I'm super new to this and ordering my vert today! Another question, do you know if I could hook up PC speakers through the AUX in? Or is the AUX in only to connected devices to play music through the record players speakers?
Hey Cranky, by any chance would you happen to have the part number or link of the upgraded elliptical needle you used? I just ordered one of these players and i want to swap the needle right from the get go. Appreciate the video, thank you.
@Phrozenthedruid It still works well. I moved it to my computer desk so I could listen to music while the rest of the house is trying to be quiet. I honestly haven't had a problem with it, and I use it all the time.
@@lizzies9307 It's held up great! I've used this player in 2 or 3 different locations. Currently, The player is the center piece of my video game center where I use it almost everyday. I think the speakers sound good and I'm currently using them. I can get a little getter sound using external speakers as long as the speakers have their own amplifier. it's nicer but not necessary. you will be happy no matter how you chose to listen to it. I hope this helps.

Yes, you can. Mine is hooked up to a Yamaha entertainment system.
