Warren, you guys knocked it out of the park. The appetizers were fantastic. I tore up those pickled peaches. Everything had a lot of flavor. The nachos were delicious. Thank you so much for suggesting your restaurant. We will definitely be back again.
That new speaker line looks promising! For someone like me in an apartment having the shallow speaker that sounds incredible is strongly desired. I am saving my pennies, keep the updates coming.
You’re the exact new customer that we were telling Jeff about. There’s tons of people that absolutely cannot place his massive JTR current lineup in their living room. I’m excited for the new Kallos series.
Im SO invested in this journey, hurdles, obstacles, problems, patience, perseverance, collaboration, determination, bonding, trials, errors and results. This is what happens, the unforseen but if you have faith, belief, grit and determination, youll overcome and achieve. Then you can relax and enjoy the fruits of your labour, well done guys and keep up the good work...here from the UK👍🏼
OMG, another Matt video that speaks directly to me. I have owned JTR custom built towers and center channel speaker for several years. To see JTR's possibly become a mainstream option for a living room setup is exciting. I could not get beyond the JTR standard textured black finish, so had Jeff custom finish mine. In the end they are just so big, I ended up moving them to my lower level. When I saw Jeff's center channel prototype on a OG / OT video, I got kind of excited. I purchased a Control4 system two years ago, and hate it, have had nothing but problems, and can't fix anything myself, have to hire the AV dealer to fix anything. I have such a challenging living room with 14' ceilings and open to dining room, kitchen, and breakfast room, and just can't seem to find a great sounding solution. Will be watching!!! BTW, love my Kranzle PW from Matt.
Forget all the negative comments, I don't usually enjoy long videos, but I enjoy every minute of these , I can only dream of such systems/ home theaters like you guys feature so I live vicariously through y'all, thanks for the content
Matt may be wealthier than anything I could ever achieve at least he sounds fairly down to earth. I'm glad that all of you were able to have a fun and productive time there. Yeah, I'm deeply jealous, but honestly I don't need the kind of headaches that come with managing so much. BTW, those Speed Queen washing machines are built like tanks! Buy once - cry once! Can't wait until I can own a set.
I have a very nice 2.1 system. I prefer that for 50/50 music & movies. Absolutely shakes our 1-story townhouse. You spend your money on the 2 high-end speakers and subwoofers versus a full surround system and electronics which adds up quickly. And then you need amplifiers, more electrical power at home, etc. Too much. I also own commercial heavy duty Speed Queens. They rock.
@@pittss2c601 I'm so very blessed to have an "okay" 7.2.4 system. It's a blast to watch movies on, but very disappointing at the same time. So few movies have soundtracks to make use of it well. But, when the soundtrack is good it's a joy. However, just like you, most of my TV time is spent with it running 2.1 and that is just fine for most viewing and of course music. Ah good music! Such a joy to listen to types music and artists that I haven't heard or paid attention to. It's surely NOT everyone's taste, but I just found out Jackie Gleason had an orchestra and produced a few albums. Dang, I feel kinda grown up now. Hahaha! Wishing you all the very best, Kevin BTW, I hope get to enjoy your Speed Queens for a very long time. I'd take a Speed Queen set over a Porsche!
I'm thinking who's that on the TV. and damn. His tracks are good! Watching this on my 77 c4. I love these long length videos. This is pure history in making.
I can’t wait to see what Jeff and you guys come up with for the living room. I’m a life long paradigm guy and would love to experience JTR and would absolutely replace my current speakers with the ones that you guys are currently designing if they could have a nice walnut or natural wood appearance. Something like Matt’s Dynaudio, that’s color and finish would be amazing.
To move the living room receiver to the tv cabinet can new speaker wires be routed within the cabinet for the left center right. Then junction the rear speakers wires with the original front speaker wires at the rack. The height speakers wouldn’t be part of the system anymore but for ease of use it might be worth it.
My system is a mixture of old 90s pro audio with car audio speakers but I love it to the moon and back, hope to hear a system like one of these so I'll know what to shoot for. Blessings
Honestly, I think that 11 monoblocks or even 3 monoblocks is a big mistake here. You and Matt have said multiple times that this system needs to be simple for guests to use. Not to mention, everything needs to fit in a media cabinet, not a 42U rack. All those monoblocks that each require their own power and own 12V trigger from the AV Processors just makes things unnecessarily complicated. Try to be honest with yourself. Will you ever hear a difference between a Purifi 1ET9040BA Monoblock and a 3-channel Purifi 1ET6525SA amp that will cost half as much? No, you will not. Not to mention, those JTRs will pull maybe 5-10W in order to hit reference.
Love that yall are taking the time to show the whole process. Coming from doing professional av I really enjoy seeing the whole thing put together and the numbers which no one does It really sucks when these guys just list off a bunch of gear, spend 45 minutes talking about their damn projector and then never really go super into the install or the audio I would tho say add more demos if you can. I know youtube sucks for audio quality but sh!t show some stuff being knocked off the walls. Always entertaining. And I really can't wait to see the new line. This has been a fantastic build series so far!
Can Jeff use his genius to make use some killer ceiling speakers for the JTR line. They can be the Matt obsessed editions lol 🤣 fulfill your destiny jeff and built the ceiling speakers to conquer them all!!
Can’t wait to see how everything comes out AND what JTR has for my living room. I’m rocking one M&K 12+ but would love to add a second sub…maybe JTR. Thoughts on what might pair well?
Hey there PSA if your gona ride ATVs or Dirtbikes where MX boots 🙏 I have 11 screws and a plate in my leg after a crash at 3mph literally you dont have to be going fast for something to crush you ankle please buy and WEAR the boots you buy a 100 pair and be 1000x more protected @Youthman please get some boots and wear them TRUST ME you dont want screws and a plate in your leg Stay Blessed
I don't think any 12 inch driver on the market will offer up 80% of the performance of his current subwoofer lineup. For my living room, I would be more interested in a subwoofer using the current 18 inch drivers that match the same performance, but in an enclosure that is more nicely finished. An aesthetically pleasing finish like a Funk or Harbottle subwoofer that also performs similar at a slightly lower price point.
Love this content but if I'm being honest I would never let just anyone use such nice equipment. I'd put some midrange gear the average guest would be more than happy with it. But just watching the planning and install of such nice gear is a treat.
That’s exactly why I’m Matt doesn’t rent his home, but instead, allows his audience in mind to borrow it for money. But in order to do so, you have to have a one hour interview with him.
There are no locked doors and nothing in the home is off-limits. Putting a mediocre system in the home would be contrary to the premise of its entire Obsessed culture.
On the way home from Atlanta, I stopped at one of my patrons Homes. He has a calf set up. It’s really nice. He came by the cabin to deliver some XLR cables for us for the install. Now he’s ready to upgrade to JTR.
Still, dynaudio makes extremely well engineered musically amazing speakers and I believe there are definitely speakers that are more "musical" then others. Great video, thanks
@@ObsessedGarage Glad to hear it! Enjoy the new JTR System & helping create the living room version JTR as well. Only have heard great things about them. Still wanting to listen in person.
They actually provide a decent amount of bass, they’re just not going to pressurize the room or dig super deep. JTR is on a completely different level.
It’s an 83”. He will either upgrade to a 98”, 110” or a projector but he’s more leaning towards a larger TV. We only had a week to get everything done so that will be a future video.
