Peacock is a solid dude . Drove from Portland to Fresno like 15 years ago to skate the Vagabond . Skated like 3 days in 110 degree heat with no one around . Peacock showed up on the last day and took me to a bunch of pools . I will never forget that trip. Much respect!
There is a band called Fresno here in Brazil haha. Puting it aside, this documentary is a masterpiece! The footage as a whole is just terrific. Had a great time, dudes!!!!
It's so interesting to me that these pools which obviously were not made with skateboarding in mind just worked so perfectly for it. And that someone had that idea to try it for the first time.
Well, they worked...not really perfectly, but much more gnarly. Even the best real pools are still about a hundred times harder to skate than a skatepark bowl. But that's what makes it gnarly. Pool skaters are a different breed.
I love watching cocky young new school skaters riding pools ripping and slamming without pads and helmet, keeps it all so fresh, raw and real.. plus whoever filmed this in 8mm or 16mm vs digital.... It looks nice and gritty so much better. Thanks for keeping it real & thanks for sharing w the world! Peace

O.C.Cal ,we were doing the same stuff as the LA.boys, just no big photographer like The D.T.boys. But O.C. had the big,and rich pools to distroy!..lol I think I cut my sisters skates to make my 1st board in 69'? Good stuff...
I was lucky enough to ride my bike in the vagabond in 02 I’m from the East Coast so we rode Asbury a lot, Lakewood NJ had 2 pools at one point and we had one in Philadelphia. But That cross country trip was insane.
Josh, thanks for the 3 tours over the years. Billy Hanley. You were stoked that we were fired up on less Desirable pool that u took us to first.. then they got better and better. Last one was hoags. I like the shitty ones. The better the pool , the more like a skatepark. Haven't skated anything g but pools since the fires happend
Just turned 60 5 days ago. I am the king of my driveway on my Z-Flex. This pool documentary is what my life was about from 13-17. We would find water going down the gutter and follow it and end up stealing the pool pump for when we need one to empty a pool in an abandoned location. It was such a great adventure. Today, when i am on a plane coming in for a landing, i am looking for empty pools 😂
