Correct its now known as CTV as of 2005. The call sign meant, "Canada's First, Canada's Finest." There was also CBC that is french speaking only also known as CBMT. Both stations would carry Montreal Canadiens/Toronto Maple Leafs hockey games fairly regularly which is what I watched the most on these two channels growing up in the 80s and 90s. Today they do not show as many games.
