I think the "Hive is dying" statements really boil down to the shift in the content creator space here on RUclips, which has drastically changed. The Hive as a server, however, is doing great and even growing (as you mentioned in the video). Great commentary Defectt!
Ngl I used to say the same thing a year ago but I’m realizing the team is actually taking their time to improve the game and give more updates to the server. That argument of “The hive is dying” is just based of nostalgia. It isn’t dying, it’s just getting the attention of people back. Hoping that their next events and ideas works for the server :)

Now with bed wars, there’s still some mixed opinions about the changes (and how TW basically had to disappear from the game list, you can only play it on cs) Some part of the community was ok with it and looking forward to it, the another half still has the same opinion. Idk, it will take some time for the server to recover from that ‘mark’

hive its self is not dying, hive's community and competitive scene is dying. Ignacioblade vanished, deezee quit, mj went outside, evident is making bedrock survival content, tournuaments are completely gone, cmanwizard is making asmrs every 3 months and most sweats have turned to casual players cuz they're too bored
but there is a hope. Hive's community is going thru a "rebirth" phase and by that I mean... most of old players and creators have quit. new youtubers are growing in popularity (defectt included) and new players watch their videos, while also leveling up in gamemodes and building up the "new HIVE"
I'm not too up-to-date on HIVE stuff but I'm really happy to hear about their current success. When summer rolls around ofc I'll check out some bedwars

Why does Defect get like lvl 1 players as a lvl 36 and I’m lvl 15 and I always get lvl40-50 players.
