I am from Toronto (born and raised) and I am glad to see we are investing in transit in other cities in Ontario. With time, the majority of these projects (maybe all of them) will be successes I think. Ontario, and Canada, will be stronger with a stronger Kitchener-Waterloo.
Public transport is for transporting people from one place to another and in doing so if it makes profit its good but if it doesnt then also its good because by efficiently moving people its boosting the economy of the region.
The region's been calling it an LRV, I haven't ever heard it called a tram. The Gold Coast Light Rail system in Australia is similar to ours and uses the same vehicle, and they do call them trams down there.
I'm a tram and I approve this video ;) :D

Is there an official difference between both?
