  • In this video you will learn about the Sandbox on Wikipedia and how to move a page.
The Sandbox is a useful place to practise editing by yourself, and is great to experiment with using Wikipedia.
You can even use it to draft a new page, and then move it to the main Wikipedia area, as covered in this video.
You can access your Wikipedia Sandbox here: en.wikipedia.o...
Learn more about moving a page on Wikipedia here: en.wikipedia.o...

Why i do not have the move option in 2:33
Even though my account is few months old?
Does the sandbox draft has to be few days old to do this?

Good question! It might be because your account isn't 'Autoconfirmed'. Take a look at this page and it will tell you if you are or not, and also gives some information about why you might have met the requirements yet: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:User_access_levels#Autoconfirmed_users or go to this page and put your username in to see all of your user account rights en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:UserRights/ If you think you meet the requirements you can request your user account rights to be changed here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requests_for_permissions/Confirmed

@@wm_au also, I sent it and they deleted it, is there any specific rules I should follow? Didn’t know that Wikipedia was so strict about writing an article

@@zineguers It would depend on a number of things. Wikipedia has guidelines around notability that must be met for an article to be on Wikipedia, as well as other policies that could have led to your article being removed. It might be a good idea to ask for help at the Wikipedia Teahouse, and you can look into what exactly went wrong. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Teahouse Alternatively, check your User Talk page and someone may have left a message explaining why your article was removed: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Special:MyTalk

@TheAlternativeToConservative Please don't pay anyone to create a Wikipedia page as it could be a scam. You can request an article to be created for English Wikipedia here: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Requested_articles

@@wm_auHi mate.. Is making 10 edits within the same sandbox page that I created, enough to be auto confirmed?
