it has all features of a smartphone so how you are not completely ditching smartphones technically, like you can still watch tiktoks, instagram reels and youtube shorts :o
@@ソク That's right☺! This model allows you to install apps. You can watch it on RUclips etc. But unlike smartphones, flipphones don't depend on it as much. The screen is smaller than a smartphone, And I think you can stop scrolling endlessly by closing the screen.

If you're going to have full Android and all the apps anyway, then what is the point of a flip phone? How exactly is this supposed to stop your digital addiction, when it literally does everything your old phone did?
Hello! Thank you for your comment. As you said, unlike the Dumbphone, which only allows calls and emails, this phone can have apps installed on it. So it may seem a little different from a "complete digital detox". Why do people use foldable phones like this... ① With a foldable phone, there are buttons, so there is a distance between you and the screen. This puts you at a distance from the screen, so you don't have to immerse yourself in the screen. ② Unlike a smartphone, it is a little inconvenient to operate, so even if you have the same apps installed, I feel that you are less dependent on it. (There is no clear data, it is just my personal experience.) ③ A foldable phone can be folded up with a bang. This allows you to put an end to a situation, so you can avoid endlessly looking at the screen like with a smartphone. That's about it! Japanese foldable phones in the 2000s could access the Internet, watch TV, and watch videos, just like a smartphone. You could also play games. Even so, I didn't have such a serious dependency. I think that's because of the foldable shape. Thank you very much for your comment. Is this answer okay? If you have any other questions, please comment!
@@みかん-m8u4e Ok, that does make sense. I just never personally felt like the buttons were the reason I get sucked into a screen. For me it's more about the content that is calling out to me. I got addicted to the internet as a teen on my Sony T310, which had a tiny screen and buttons.

In Japan, English is a compulsory subject in classes, but there are many people who cannot master it.

After the test, everyone doesn't remember anything anymore.

(There is no clear data, it is just my personal experience.)
③ A foldable phone can be folded up with a bang.
Want.

日本語はとても難しいですよね、でも凄く上手です!
私も英語の勉強頑張ります。
ケータイ、いいですよね。

Can anyone recommend me a flip phone for less than 90 dollars??
@@heraexp3
Thank you for your comment!
And I'm glad that you are interested in flipphone.
but! It's hard to find a new flipphone in Japan that costs less than $90.
But you can find used ones for less than $90.
This is the homepage of a store in Akihabara, Japan.

Check it out if you like!
I would be happy if I could help you with your digital detox.
I'll also post a video about flipphone.
Have a good digital detox!
thank you☺♥
Thank you for your comment!
I'm glad you liked the video.
Smartphone addiction is very serious, so I wish dumbphones (flipphones) like this would become more popular around the world.
I recently saw on the news that HMD's Barbie flip phone has been released in the UK.
The world may be undergoing a digital detox, albeit little by little.
Please check out the other videos if you like.
I hope you too have a good digital detox life☺♥.
Can we use WhatsApp with this phone?
Thank you for your comment. This model allows you to install apps like Android. So I think you can include WhatsApp too!
If you have more than one can you give me one ptetty please
😅 how can you comes up. on my RUclips. your language is cute
Wow! Sorry for the poor English! Can you convey it properly?
I thought I would write a script and speak accurate English, but I spoke with excitement and joy at having bought this model.

It's an honor.

hi mikan-san! i am the exact same feeling as you! i was sick of being addicted to my smartphone, and i have just ordered this phone from Japan to my country in australia, i had to use a middle forwarding service. i HOPE it works with my network in australia. I am visiting japan and maybe living there with my sickness still, in april or may, would love to meet up with you as you have a similar mindset to me about the phones and being a slave to the phone, i find it exhausting.
today at lunch i was talking to my friend across the table, he is on his phone not looking at me, and i am looking at him on his phone.... while we are eating lol
ちなみに日本語を勉強しています、楽しいから
i hope to hear from you, and i can add you instagram if you want to talk more about this topic!
Hello!

I'm glad we have the same idea.
I'm using this Mode One Retro 2 and it's great.
I'm really tired of the world of smartphone addiction.
I hope that digital detox will progress further worldwide.

Thank you very much for your comment! I'm happy. In Japan, there is still no ``smartphone addiction'' or ``reappraisal of Dumbphone''. But I will do my best to make it known both in Japan and around the world. I will continue to work hard with your comments as encouragement.
