It's almost $700 with the stand now.... Holy crap I would buy that today for $350.

Used this saw for years when I did commercial windows. We are blades out and the saw still ran. But aluminum for days and years. I can definitely testify to the beastly ness of it

Just got mine with the rolling Dewalt miter saw stand for $399 !!
I went threw mine in the cart last week and went to make the purchase today, and the stand deal ended just yesterday. So mad I missed it by a day. The saw was marked down to 350 now but I really wanted that stand combo for 399.

So last night I bought the Ridgid 12” double bevel, sliding miter saw and now I’m wondering if I should’ve bought this one. The Ridgid has a light which is nice but this Ridgid is frikken huge. So I was considering this Dewalt or they make another 12” that doesn’t slide and i was considering that one because it’ll be smaller and lighter.
I’ve had my 10” Dewalt since 2005 and I really like it but it’s too small to cut tall baseboards. I have to lay it flat and do a compound cut which is a total pain in the arse.
So anyways, I saw ur vid and thought I’d ask what you recommend I do. I have a handyman business and I have to take my tools to many different job sites.
Ps- I’m uncertain if the Ridgid is larger than this Dewalt saw and I was wondering if you knew which one is smaller and/or lighter?

You can cut most non ferrous metals with a carbide tipped blade. I cut aluminum rails for shower doors on mine all the time

You could probably get them on the depot site once available as they sell exclusively through them, but the ridgid site would have them too once available
I got this saw , but you might as well throw the blade away , most tools ship with beater blades, all in all great saw 👍
Yeah I never use the junk blades in the box
We had the same, Buy a DWS779 for $399 and get the stand for free, Black Friday deal at Lowe's. I ordered two combo saws and stands online but had to pay for it at the store because Lowe's thought I might be committing credit card fraud. I wound up paying only $350 for each combo at the register and used my military discount which brought the total price for two 779 saws and two 723 stands to $697 and some cents. I am selling one saw and keeping both of the normally $200 stands which means that I effectively got the saw I am keeping for free. I will also sell my older 12" Hitichi miter saw with it's stand and should be out of pocket only $50 for a new saw and two stands.

The only thing I could fault the saw on was it's depth stop not having the length on it to make small dado's x2 in material.
