When I first started weaving, i inherited a big bag-o-STUFF. There were some amazingly long thrums, a warp of fine wool With. No. Cross. (sigh). About 20 freakin' yards! Also, about 30 little balls of "too much to throw away" Eventually, i used the warp, and even the thrums, but the project that i had the most fun with was the blanket that used all the tiny little balls. I decided how long my blanket would be, picked the smallest of the balls, and wound it into warp. Then all the other balls, making as many groups as the first ball's threads. I filled any gaps with some Shetland 2ply. And yes, I waulked my wool...in the bath, with "March of Cambredthe" playing! Still love that blanket, 20 years later.
It looks like you hemstiched between blankets so you could cut them apart with ease, is that what you did? Would love to see a short video of that process!
You do beautiful work! I have a Union floor loom and 2 rigid heddles, so this is great info for ANY loom. I am now inspired to weave a stash buster shawl on my 24".
I just found you! What beautiful blankets! How wide is your loom (oh, I just saw the width) and what dent is the reed? I love blankets but have only a 36" width.

Beautiful! That finished blanket has an Aurora Borealis look to it!
If I had the money I’d buy one in a heartbeat! Beautiful!
Gorgeous blankies Kari, I love seeing them come off the loom.
That's the best part, isn't it?

Have fun!
I've been waiting eagerly for this video since you last mentioned the blankets! They turned out sooo nice!
Glad you like them!
I really like the way you make warps to have on hand so you can warp a loom at any time and get to weaving. I like your designing in the ŕeed.
Those blankets turned out great!
If I had any extra money, I’d love to buy one of your blankets! They are absolutely stunning! They look so cozy!
Absolutely gorgeous!
Very cool! I would love if you could share how you warp front to back
Noted!
Are you retrying the treadles between each blanket to get the different patterns on a single warp?
Beautiful!!!!1
