Always love hearing about what it's like for people selling on Amazon!! There is so much opportunity on Amazon, but its not easy!!! Really great video and amazing editing. Thank you for posting :)
iv noticed on one amazon storefront there is multiple items and they are all from different sellers? how is that possible!? anybody know the answer to this
Amazon is overwhelmed and oversaturated. Wanna sell a lot then don't compete with your competitors - outsmart them. Find goods that they ignore and jump there.
As far as the FBA is fee is concerned...take it from me ,it is absolutely worth it. If you are going to ship and handle yourself, then it maybe (big maybe) work out slightly cheaper. Even if you ship from another third party than Amz,it will most likely also work out more than with FBA. Fact is that Amz FBA get wholesale shipping fees from UPS etc that we mere mortals can't even begin to dream off. Storage with Amz is dirt cheap. The only thing that ticks me off about Amz is with returns...they make me eat all the costs involved even when the customer is at fault like for instance "item was undeliverable". The customer should pick up that expense but Amz openly sucks up to them and the customer is always right. Fortunately is does not happen a lot. Amz PPC in my opinion is also absolutely worth it. The idea after all is to get the product into your customer's hands in the hope that they'll like it and buy again. Maybe even tell a friend about it. If you can breakeven on the front end then you're in clover. The money is on the back end.
@@TravisMarziani I import a supplement from South Africa ( arbitrage) and has been selling it on Amz for several years now. Make about $1000 pm. Just a side hustle. I' m now working on a similar product product under my own label.
So helpful! In this case, with her tea, what needs to be done legally? Is there an FDA component? LLC? Or just a trademark? I find the legal aspect so confusing, Thank you!
Hi Travis, Loving the videos, but have a question - everytime I check the products of your students that you mention in your videos on Amazon, I found that they are "currently unavailable" - I am referring to Emans Shoe Cleaner and now Karla's Tea - what gives?
Great videos man keep it up. Since she and many of your other protégés register as an LLC, can't they just claim back most of the start up costs as they are tax deductible?
That's a lot of risk for $100 per hour and it's not even passive income. I am shocked how much of a chunk Amazon keeps and what about accounting costs like filing corporate taxes etc. Retail is a tough space to get into
@@TravisMarziani that makes a lot of sense. I am currently in the process of finalizing manufacturing on a product. I have definitely learned a lot along the way. Even things you think are simple to make can become complex rather quickly.
@@TravisMarziani I filed in MT. I know it varies from state to state, but with a little digging I found some articles that listed everything you needed. Which turns out is really just going to the state website and filling out a form. It wasn't nearly as complicated as I thought it would be.

15:00 Love this tip, start with one, and scale once YOU and your capital is ready!
Thanks, Travis. Hearing the discussion, about launching additional products sooner, was/is VERY beneficial.
Love Karla’s story!
tell us how they did the product research how they saw the opportunity or was it purely "I like tea so I went and sold tea"
Hi Travis, great video. The custom packaging seems very interesting. Maybe a future video on how much it cost her to do sticker vs printed packaging?
I like seeing other products besides the vine cards and nut butter.
@@happyvideos1216 vino cards
Interesting video thanks. I just checked her Amazon store and the product is unavailable. I wonder if her business is still going?

Nice thumbnail 👍
Consider adding a photo of their product as well as since people get excited to see product reveals.
great information
Awesome content!! always the best part is the barcodes conversation! hehe...
Don’t know why but I smiled when she smiled.
Anyway, great Information, I my self sell on Amazon and I should definitely switch to FBA
i like your channel so much! thank you so much!!

Great video! How many units did she start with?

Is the LLC/DBA necessary? And the EIN number?
Hello Travis, I started a Facebook Launch group but am having trouble getting people besides my family into the group. Any suggestions?

You also need to explain self employment tax bro for the business you are running

Most states make it really simple to start an LLC on the state website. It cost me $70 to form an LLC and $20 for a DBA. Skip legal zoom.

is it cool if you can help me out I'm 16 and really like face to face conversation
What do you think about Amazon taking successful products and becoming its own ???
@@TravisMarziani cool man thanks for the answer
she just nods .
No offense, but those pics not worth $500.She overpaid a lot.
Because they do not look as very good quality pics.Only for this reason.
