Nice! I think you'll love it there. A lot of non-Spanish speaking ex-pats live along the north shore of Lake Chapala. Also, if you ever get to the point you need a care home, those are actually affordable there (along with doctors, dentists, veterinarians & everything else).

The last time I went to Mexico I actually got Montezuma’s Revenge the day before I left - that time when a bunch of restaurants here in the US had gotten some romaine lettuce that was tinged by something………💩
