Some of my favorite moments from this series were when some demons regain a little bit of their humanity right before they die, and when you get a glimpse at what caused them to become a demon it's almost always some sad event in their lives when they were human. Spoiler: Like the martial artist demon, if I remember correctly he was taken in by a dojo and was treated like he was the master's son, and was in love with the master's daughter, until a rival school poisoned their well resulting in everyone dying, he would then go to that school and viciously murder everyone there before encountering the demon king later that night and being offered to become a demon, he accepted because he felt he had nothing left. Or if I remember correctly the drummer demon who was a writer who never felt he was good enough, and ultimately became a demon when the person he trusted the most ridiculed both him and his work and called it trash.
You are wrong though. Akaza never accepted Muzan's offer to become a demon. Muzan just forced him to, even brainwashed him and erased his memories to turn him into a loyal servant. When Akaza got back his memory, he committed suicide.
@@miyako1909 If i remember correctly he did willingly accept it, though he only did after Muzan had already shoved his fist into Akaza's head, stating something along the lines of he might as well as he had nothing to live for anymore.
Ngl ,if Tanjirou would have seriously died in the final battle, that would have put the final nail in the coffin for breaking Giyuu ,so I'm glad it didn't happen 😐
I’m gonna say this again but this is exactly why Giyuu is one of my fave characters. His character is written beautifully. Some might say how he is a textbook tsundere type guy but really, he’s a nice person who’s just not good at talking. He takes everything seriously but able to smile! (Referring to his gaiden omg he smiled looking at salmon daki😭) so yeah. He’s really just an introvert guy but totally not a bad guy. He is also extremely skilled given his low confidence. He is also a very responsible person. He does his tasks 1000% but still has his own principles. 💯
Mentor and student fighting a villain side-by-side and triumphing with the student surpassing the mentor is such a great trope in general. Something similar also happened in Black Clover a while ago.
And the fact is that even though tanjiro surpasses his mentor and made him proud…Tanjiro acknowledges that he will never be able to master water breathing as effectively as giyu which shows how mucj respect and admiration tanjiro has for Giyu despite surpassing him in his own way
I once saw a video that displayed Giyu's depictions in most of the promotional material. Almost all them depict him as away from every other pillar. It kind of makes me sad and laugh that even in ads, the pillars want to get away from him.
It is the opposite actually. It is Giyu that keeps his distance from other Pillars because he feels that he is unworthy. It is impossible for Gyomei, Mitsuri and Rengoku who are so friendly to hate him.
If you ever thought that Tomioka is bad or useless or deserves that no one likes him remember that Tomioka is the one and only reason Tanjiro became a demon slayer at all the beginning
Spoilers I always felt kinda bad for him since he’s lost so many friends like sabito and shinobu. He rarely showed emotion but when he heard that shinobu died you can tell how distraught he was, and when he’s usually stoic seeing him like that hurts
It also hurt when (SPOILERS AHEAD) Giyu and everyone else thought Tanjiro died and everyone was crying around him and Giyu sat in front of him and held his hand and cried while apologizing to Nezuko. It also made me emotional when Tanjiro turns into a demon and in order to save him, Giyu immediately resolves to kill Tanjiro so Tanjiro will not harm others while losing control as a demon. I was so happy when they showed Giyu smiling genuinely in every scene he was in after Tanjiro woke up after a couple of months. Especially where Tanjiro is hugging him and Nezuko is hugging Urokodaki 😭 My other favorite is when he is walking among some trees with flowers and he looks so happy while looking up at the branches. I was really worried he wouldn't make it but I'm glad he did and found peace 😊
