I'm assuming it was the guy on the bike? I hope you showed the police your video, so at least they have a visual of him, albeit from behind. Apart from that, London looks beautiful with all those blossoms out...

It's not just a London problem.Unluckily, robberies happen in most major cities worldwide.
That is true. It was scary though when he passed next to me, it could’ve easily been my phone.
Not in Japan, not in Singapore, nor in Dubai. And what is the point of every square inch of London being covered by CCTV cameras, if they police don't stop crime?
That is why the only telephone that I have is attached to the wall in my house.

No, he worked hard, paid taxes, saved up, bought the bike, and cycled it all the way into Mayfair to go on a crime spree. Obviously.
Every countries have the good, the bad,and the ugly.... there are rich people and there are poor one ....Noone is exceptional..regardless of race,gender, culture ect....

It’s very easy to be targeted in Mayfair and Knightsbridge. Wealth is concentrated and the efficiency of law enforcement is too low.
this is the second one I caught on film, tells us how frequent they are. But it's a beautiful area, hope things get better!
Law enforcement too low is an understatement, in some ways it’s becoming almost non existent. Police spending too much time scrolling through social media looking for “offensive” comments etc. No time to actually go after what they see as minor crime like car thefts or phone snatching. Pathetic situation.
Maybe for the (ex) phone owner, be situationally aware and respect other footpath users by looking up!
