It's cute but I have yet to see one in a Fiat 500 guise because mostly here in the Philippines are Abarth 595 Models. I've been lucky enough to drive/review an Abarth 595 Manual and I must say it is one of the best cars I've ever driven!!!
Is it imperative with this model to coast in neutral to recharge the battery? This would feel so wrong and unsafe to me, after almost 50 years of driving, to be without engine braking and the means to add power if necessary. I realise that could engage the engine, but if road speed and revs aren't matched correctly it could cause premature wear and it's another thing to think about in an emergency or to avoid an accident. Not sure if the ancillary battery is just a gimmick/sop to the current climate agitators and car haters and everyday safety is being compromised.
I agree with everything you say. I live on Isle of Lewis, currently driving around 50 miles each day to work. No problem at all. Been round large chunks of the Highlands in it on holiday, no issues and great fun. I can't prove it but having just swapped from a 2016 plate to a new 72 Hybrid one, the ride, handling and suspension feel much better. I think they've tweaked the hybrid to make it more refined. It's a fantastic car that puts a smile on my miserable face!!
I rented 500 many times for trips across UK and I enjoyed every mile! Slow, but with a big smile on my face. For no special reason this car made me always happy. And funny thing is, when you walk to the Fiat 500 which is parked next to a Range Rover, then you realise, how small this car is😁 Love it!
I drive this car. Bought it in September 2020, with extremely low expectations and there you go, I completely agree with all you say. It's not nippy, but it sounds nice, costs nothing, and it's genuinely fun to drive!
I'm 60 now and currently driving a Ford KA 2015 which had the same platform as the Fiat 500. Whilst the KA has been discontinued the 500 powers on and I'm interested in buying one now. One thing to be noted. As an older gentleman I want a car that will tow a small Halfords trailer for garden waste to dump or my camping equipment. Whilst the Ford KA is not rated to tow the 500 Rock Star is and will tow up to 800kg (depending on engine). Happy days.
i had a 2021 hybrid 500C and loved it, but it developed a few annoying rattles which Fiat couldnt solve so i moved it on, but i have had 3 since introduced!
I rented one out last year after 25 years not driving at all (yes!!) and you know what? I ended up buying one in April 2021 (the exact model you’re reviewing). And i love it so much, after 8 months, I’ve driven 9631,000 miles with it! I adore it. Of course I’m a hot blonde chick like you say 😂
I almost bought this. But I didn't get the feeling it would operate reliably in Finnish winter, so I had to put money back to my pockets for the time being.
Hired this car for 5 days. It has no go whatsoever. I mean it barely accelerates. It should be lightweight because it is tiny, yet it feels heavy like a diesel golf.
What do you think of the Fiat 500 in all it different guises?

How many times did you use the word little in this video?
HAHA I don't know I haven't counted. It is little though!
