I've had one of these for about 8 years. When I backpack, I take the pot and inside I put 1 of the cups, a mini gas canister, my MSR Pocket Rocket, and a bic lighter. Love the simplicity of this cookset!
Who has not already seen this cook set in a video or just at walmart????? I sure have.... DOESN'T MATTER! These videos are BOMB and deserve a watch!.... and a LIKE!
I love mine so much that I bought 15 more and built mess kits for the whole family. It nests nicely in the Ozark Trails cup with a microfiber cleaning cloth between them to stop rattling and the pot and the cup use the same lid. The whole kit fits into molle 32oz Nalgene bottle pouches. I've been using mine for 10 years now and I love it.
You can also get one of the common gsi mugs on the outside i picked up myself a stainless steel one at Walmart not GSI brand for $5 it nesting nicely on the outside I actually use a bandana around the outside of the cook set and it keeps it nice and tight and stops the soot from the fire from getting into the cup
Can't go wrong with Stanley. I put their products through years of abuse from casual strolls in the park to weeks of backcountry hunting and fishing. All seasons. Banged in sleds, dropped in mud, ice, left on fire, etc. Never failed me. Ever
At $13 (I own a set as well) as long as I get some good years out of it I have no plans to use the warranty once a cup cracks or anything. I’ll just buy another set. Too many people have claimed warranties for REI and LL bean for frivolous things so they’ve had to lower their warranties. Sure, you can say they choose to make that warranty so broad, but I don’t want to ruin it for everyone else.
nice video! I just purchased the cook set off amazon for my highschool graduation fishing trip! thanks for the video and I love how calm you are! subscribed,
Thanks for continuing these videos through the big igloo. It's a great sanity check throughout my day to remind me that things could be worse, I could be somewhere where it's June and there's still snow lol. Semper, brother. Always looking forward to your next video.
Nice point about it being sized comparable to a Nalgene. I have MSR pots that function the same as the Stanley, but that might be worth the cost of entry.
Just got one of these tonight at Wally World for 10 bucks....found it online for 10 and they had it for 15....they did a price match for it and knocked off the difference. I think I'm going to like it. I rarely "cook" out hiking/camping but for making dehydrated food and hot tea etc....this thing seems to be the ticket. Titanium may be better.....but the price of it just keeps me away from it....I suppose if I were a long distance or a thru-hiker I'd break down and buy the titanium....but everybody seems to rave about these so I went with it. Thanks for the review man.
Maybe titanium can do the same thing, but I agree with what you said about being able to put it directly into fire, clean it with anything, and not get anything that might be toxic with any coatings or anything like that. Good bang for buck, just ordered mine. Need to find the right size molle pouch for it now, for outside the ruck sack carry. I think it will be able to take some abuse.
Great video. I had one of these for fishing mostly, when I didn't want a heavy set up. Loved it. Packed it for a move and still haven't found it. Amazon just lowered their price to $9.49, so I ordered another one. Checked it out when it got here and it is exactly the same as the old one was, near as I can tell.
I’m not so concerned about the weight as I am about the durability. I’ve had the Stanley two cup cook set about 5 years now and I’m completely satisfied with it. I love the cups and it stays in my pickup.
Used one for several years. Have since moved to the larger pot because the larger surface area allows you to use more of the heat coming off of the burner and boil water faster. I dont use the cups or bowls added weight and freeze dried meals can be reconstituted and eaten out of the packaging
I love my Adventure cook set, I try not to use it with my pocketrocket stove because the legs are a bit spread out and it does not balance well. I use a cheap stove with mine, it works great for day hikes. I know I could take this on a long hike too. I've added a Walmart stainless steel cup to mine.
I have seen them for years, but never thought about getting one because how cheap they are. In Alabama you can buy them for under $10, thanks for the information
That pot, any number of smaller cups you can find with the same dimensions and a Nalgene stainless bottle all three nest perfectly. The cups are nice to have but I leave them at home.
Ditch those heavy plastic cups, buy a Stanley stainless cup, line it with a section of bandana and slide it on the bottom. By doing this I still have a cup and I can fit my fuel and burner inside with a cloth maybe some seasonings ect.
GSI Outdoors also has a Glacier Stainless Lightweight Bottle Cup/Pot (24 oz.) that the Stanley Adventure Cook Set can nest inside. Just add a slim bandana, or such, to create a nice fit w/o the rattle. Then you can use the GSI Glacier as a cup or an additional cook pot. Happy Trails!
I bought 3 of these at the same time and for some reason when I boil water in them the water taste weird.. like a strong chemical taste.. I've even tried different brands of bottled water and they all taste the same.. Not sure why.. I was hoping to use them to make instant coffee, but now I'm not sure if I should.. I even tried it over different types of heat methods and they all taste the same...
I've been looking at these things for years and just haven't bought one, mainly because I don't actually get out and do cool stuff so it would just go to waste.
Great review. My issues with this kit are (1) the weight and (2) the base and (3) the cups. A titanium pot is half the weight and a square base sits much better. The cups are impractical without lids IMHO. The other thing everyone talks about is the locking lid - it's probably going in a bag so who needs a lock? For me there are much better options out there (-:
So pissed that I bought this set from Wal E World with only 1 cup. Only to find everyone and their mother that bought theirs came with 2 cups. 😡WalMart
Love that you just casually have a Honey Badger laying behind you lol keep up the great vids
Went 200 miles on the AT with one of these when I was 19. Solid cup.
Nice!

These are so worth the money and we have several of them. Some we keep with our camping gear and others we keep for emergencies.

Right on, thanks man!
Solid piece of kit. I did the split ring thing on mine. Hint: it fits (barely) into a molle M-60 pouch.
Thats good info dude.
Very cool.
The cook set fits perfectly into the camp cups Walmart sells right next to them.
Nice!
$11, sure. $13, too rich for my blood.
Seriously?
Stop the Philosophical Zombies no, not seriously.
Gotta find that sweet spot...
Subscribed cuz I see someone brought along his gat while hiking.
I have one of these and it got abused on tons of scout trips and it did great
Nice!
I like the Stanley set very much. The cups keep tea and coffee warm and they do not burn your lips. Thanks and take care.
Agreed, way nicer than the metal cups.
Solid kit. I've used it. It makes sense and is a crazy good value and excellent design IMO.

Haha, stay warm buddy. :)

Thx Bud, I love mine and it’s badger crew approved! Take care bud..
Thanks Victor!

Was going to buy this tomorrow. Perfect timing ha

Nice score on that set. Let me know how it treats you.
@@KitBadger will do. Thanks.
Great video. I love my Stanley Camp Cook Sets. Pro tip stainless steel can be non-stick if you season it by rubbing it with salt.
Nice, I’ll try that.
Anytime brother. Keep up the good work. Your videos are very helpful and informative. Plus you have a good time doing it.
tomarse un té o un café en el campo ¡es ser feliz!, buen video.
Good stuff. I also have one, no complaints.
They just work. :)

Smoking deal at that price!

Given your penchant for high-end Gucci gear this review is really cool. Outstanding kit, great value.

Yeah there great 👍 great job
Super affordable too.
Love this thing. Been using it for years. Recently misplaced the lid so if anyone has an extra one hit me up.
Hard to beat for the money. :)
Get a dzo lid. Metal handle, and super sturdy
Ivan... I'm not going to lie... I wish I could eat snickers bars like that... lol It would not end well though...
Hahaha.
I you don’t use the cups, the small fuel cans will fit perfectly inside.
Yes, they did a great job on sizing this.
New sub here! Thanks for sharing! Amazing recipe! and like 42!
Love the set, but did mod it to take a bail for suspending it on a bust limb tripod.
Titanium cookware seems over the top. I guess if you are backpacking it might make sense

Not for $13.00...
