Almost all of the shows had two or three songs, except for the Addams Family. I liked all three (Edit: Two themes, three openings.) on Lost in Space. 💙 T.E.N.
@@tracynation2820There’re only 2 main title themes. Three separate themes over the course of a series’ run is quite rare-I can only recall “Wagon Train” being an example.
As a kid I never realised I was living through one of the most creative periods in entertainment. Lost in Space just knew how to tell a story tightly and those three main anchors - Smith, Will and the Robot provided so many possibilities for the writers. Brilliant. Batman was another.
I was 5 or 6 and remember my older brothers watching it in the 60s, but I became a fan in the 70s when WTAE channel 4 in Pittsburgh used to air it every weekday at 3:30 in the summertime. Not matter what me and my friends were doing outside, we stopped for Lost in Space.
Ha, ha ! Right -- it really IS hard to picture Smith achieving that high a military rank, considering what a sniveling, cowardly buffoon he became after the first half dozen episodes, or so. 😁
The title sequence for Season three is better, too. Showing the cast members in the optical effect was much better than the cheap animation used in the the first two seasons.
I was 10 in 1965 when Lost in Space debuted and the weekly monsters they had on were scarey to me, But I lived for seeing it weekly, Ahead of its time, then 1 yr later Star Trek came on, I was SciFI oriented then, Loved Science Fiction Theater when that came on every Saturday afternoon. But the scarriest show for me was The Outer Limits. Starting in September 1963 on Friday nights.
Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches, Shrimp Ramen and Cherry Kool-Aid on the couch, August of 1989. This show, and all of the classic re-run favorites on WPVI Philly. Loved it then, and thankful for the memories now. They had such imagination. Even if it was campy and gauche. What fun.
I love how for the 1998 movie they took parts of this theme for the new movies theme, even after all the years between seeing on TV and in the movie theater hearing that theme just blew me away
During Season 1, CBS started color broadcasts. That's why LOST IN SPACE with to color in the second season on. I don't know why the theme song was changed to a disco-rock style in the third season, but it is good. And the title sequence from Season 3 is superior to Seasons 1 and 2, which look cheap and awkwardly produced.
It had more a California Surfer vibe than Disco. It predated Disco by about a decade. Another example of the style might be the original Space Mountain music
Anyone ever notice that in NEARLY every episode when the Jupiter 2 is on a planet somewhere, that the "Landing legs" are NOT extended, and that the ship is resting on its' belly, and they just walk up a RAMP to get inside??? BUT whenever they DO show the ship taking off, it is usually ONLY from the "Landing Legs" extended position??? Maybe it's just ME????
The series was great in the first season, not bad in the 2nd, And, after the execs. found out Dr. Smith, the robot and Will Robinson were the most popular characters, turned it into, "The Dr. Smith, the robot, and Will Robinson Comedy Show". Honestly, I enjoyed the third season for its' batsh*t ridiculousness (remember the vegetable alien dude turning Dr. Smith into a carrot?), but nobody can deny it went completely off the edge. If you think about it, its' 3 seasons mirror its' competitor, 'Star Trek'; one really great 1st season, an O.K. second season, and an abysmal 3rd season.
Many episodes of the third season of LIS are far superior to basically any episode of the second season. “The Condemned of Space”, “Hunter’s Moon”, “Visit to a Hostile Planet”, “The Space Creature”, “The Anti-Matter Man”, “Target Earth”…several more.
El Dr Smith es de los principales de perdidos en el espació sin él estaría aburrido es súper me encanta el Dr Smith el mejor de todos los que están allí
Jonathan Harris considered himself the star of the show, and would not accept last billing. They negotiated, and he finally agreed to being at the end of the list only if he were billed as a "Special Guest Star."
ROBBIE THE ROBOT WAS IN THIS TV SHOW AND HE WAS IN A MOVIE CALLED THE FORBIDDEN PLANET AND A FLYING SAUSER LANDED ON A PLANET AND A RACE OF ALIENS CALLED THE KREL LIVEDON THIS PLANET A MILLION YEARS AGO AND THERE TECHNOLOGY WAS A MILLION YEARS AHEAD OF OURS AND AT THE END OF THIS MOVIE THE PLANET WAS DESTROYED 😁
I’m 58 years old and still get chills from the “countdown” intro…..great stuff
According to Maureen's hair, every planet had a beauty salon!
In the first few episodes of the third season, Penny had a different hair style in each one until they finally settled on the ugliest one.
Johnny Williams knocked it out of the park with both themes.
Johnny Williams eventually became John Williams and the rest is history.

Damn...Even when the stories were sub-standard, Guy and Mark always forged straight ahead angle gave it all they had.
I couldn’t imagine Dr smith was a colonel in the Air Force

@@CodyPoguel it’s part of the show
@@mosesgutierrez-qk3ze Very true....no argument there sir. 👍🏼☺️
I know
Well, in an early episode he says he is a doctor of Environmental Space Medicine!
Season 3 theme was/is my favorite

It was corny but loved as a kid in the 70s

Non of my family were never interested in the series

I lost all memory of the 3rd season intro/ outro , thanks for the trip 😊
Best TV Series Ever Made.......Period !
What about Star Trek?! The original series is my absolute favorite series. Lost in Space was great too!
I forgot the new theme song came along on their departure from the planet! Wow!
Guy Williams was a JFK lookalike
*still the coolest fukken space ship in tv history.*
The interior set also rocked.
@@Tmanaz480 *_#YUP_*
Still trying to figure out though where they stored the Chariot inside that ship 😅

I like season 3 intro the best
5...4...3...2...1
7...6...5...4...3...2...1 that's how the 3rd season of lost in space goes
I love how for the 1998 movie they took parts of this theme for the new movies theme, even after all the years between seeing on TV and in the movie theater hearing that theme just blew me away
The episode I liked was trip though the robot and when the Jupiter 2 went back in time to 1947 back to earth
I never did watch this show; my fix was always Star Trek back then. I have to say, this show had great music.
I have the complete series of Lost iN Space on DVD
As you should !
That show should have stayed in on for at least another year
Thank Red Skelton's production company, Van Bernard productions, for the series' success.

I had a crushon Judy when i was a kid
Season 3 Penny for me. ❣️
Don West for me.
Give me full retro's damnit!
The pitch is accelerated. Great show, though!

Good sci fi show.
Major west was correct, dump Smith before it was too late.
Anti matter man was the best Los episode.
sounds a lot like land of the giants theme
June and Marta lost their boobs for season 2!
😂 Say again ? 😁😃😝 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽
You mean on the intro cartoon? I thought their main purpose in the show was to have thse two projecting points on the front of their space suits!

I do not understand the loyalty to dr smith! He sabatoged the ship and tried to kill them! They should have dumped him!
well that was uneventful but i loved lost in. space when i was kid.
They changed the ladies figures after the black and white version.
I like when Will went back to earth using the alien matter transmitter back to New Hampshire at Christmas time to get carbon tetra chloride
“Return From Outer Space”. It was Vermont.
