In connection with this video's lesson, we may recall the remarks of Archpriest Avvakum (1621-1681) apropos of the doctrine of Dionysios, the Areopagite. "These are the Divine names: Being, Light, Truth, Life," Avvakum writes, adding that the other names such as Lord, the Almighty, the Unapproachable, the Thrice-radiant, the Omnipresent, the Spirit, God, and so forth are "laudatory" and "contingent." "It were rather better in the Symbol of faith," according to Avvakum, "not to utter the word Lord, a contingent name, than to cut out True, for in that name is contained the Divine essence. Cherishing the value of a Truth - that is also beauty and light - constitute the essence of the Orthodox Slavic spirituality.
I kind of agree with JWs where God says his name is "I shall prove to be what I shall prove to be" and not the silly I AM. The Jesus experience according to the author of Revelation believed that was the final exercise of God's name was executed. And I believe Christians took this to mean they didn't need to consider the name of God anymore. I do think it's possible Jesus himself and Paul could've written the divine name when quoting Scripture. But by Revelation the thinking was the name written on foreheads was an illusion that it became inherent in believers minds and speaking or writing it would be superfluous. Especially for Jewish Christians.
@@cygnustspLook into the work of Nehemiah Gordon on the name of God. He is a Jew, not a Christian, and agrees with the name Yehovah with the basic meaning of was and is and shall be based upon the Hebrew. I can't remember the three Hebrew verbs that make the name, but it makes sense.
@@WyckedGamer-km8yf "Yehovah comes from the same root as Ehyeh: the hollow root HYH. Yehovah is actually a combination of three verb-forms: Hayah "he was", Hoveh "he is", and Yih'yeh "he is now and will continue to be in the future". Together Hayah, Hoveh, and Yih'yeh combine into the name Yehovah." This is a quote from Nehemiah Gordon who actually speaks Hebrew. He is speaking about more than just the consonants of the name.
@@GabrielleL.S. I would suggest you get a strongs concordance sine it was taken directly from the hebrew ,chaldee and greek manuscripts Look up "LORD" in all caps it will be hebrew lexicon H3068. Look at the hebrew symbols then look at the hebrew alphabet match those symbols with the hebrew letter you will get Gods sacred name which is YHVH Which is to say it you must pronounce it YaHVaH not because its spelled that way because there is no vowels in the hebrew alphabet but the sound you make when you pronounce a Y and a V. Dont take anyones word until you check it out with your own eyes because thats how many become mislead by listening to others without checking it out
Revelation is symbolic as far as I am aware. Hence 144,000 is not the specific number of humans that end up in heaven. Revelation was given to Jesus by God. It is about God. The lamb on the throne with God - I don't see a problem with them sharing the throne and the lamb also worshipping God.
When we was created in the first earth age we was created in spiritual form. After Satan rebelled ,God destroyed the earth that was being the first earth age. Keep in mind this is in no way Noah's flood. After the destroying of the first earth age God then created this age being the flesh age. When we was created in flesh God too created himself in the flesh creating the Holy trinity The Father The Son and The Holy Spirit . Just like we have a spiritual body so does God and his spiritual body was placed also in a flesh body which is Jesus Christ that is why Jesus said "He that hath seen me hath seen the Father" John 14:9. The reason he said that is because our flesh bodies look identical to our spiritual bodies. Remember in order to understand what i said above you must realize God is not in this dimension and time and space has no affect to him meaning he can be at multiple places and times at one time.
Really good points. I will listen again. Thank you David and Vivian ❤️🙏🏻

David, you said “The name of the Tetragrammaton won’t be understood until the revelation of Jesus.” Why? Can you elaborate?
