i disagree, i have crossed some players in my time which have stated this and as long as u listened to them, haven't shot. people tend to do it to lower risk anyway or to kos u yes but usually when its not a team and its a fellow solo, the risk for both of u is very high. that player could whiff if u decide to start firing at him after hes said this or as ur dropping loot which would mean he would die. however if hes also got a gun point blank at your head while ur turned away and dropping loot, he can kill u quite easily even if u moved at any given point in time. when it comes to squads, ur only option really is to hold ur ground and shoot or just gun it away from them or to retreat and hold a chokepoint.
The “love you bye” is what got me to subscribe over a year ago. It’s probably my favorite part of every video. Whether you say it in the intro, to other players or at the end of the video.

thats the charms of being a solo. use the recources u have to ur advantage, even the things u typically dont use or wouldnt think to use its what solo players tend to use more to increase their chances of survival. traps are far more commonly used with solo players because being outnumbered and outgunned is a common threat and if theres a situation where u become trapped or ur in a tough spot against a group, using traps will often save you and turn the tide. going from 4 people to 3 is might easier to fight off or going from a duo tryna kill u to a 1 on 1 then comes down to the gear and the indivual. whoever plays smarter often wins.
