I wouldn't say trying, more like planned. From Twigsie's clinginess to Gid, Twig getting kidnapped by Illig, the very suspicious scene where they were talking about how Twig would come with them and run the inn at the end of the Carnival, the death flags were there.
also remember this is based off a module (obviously its loosely followed to accomodate for the setting and the players' backgrounds) so maybe nikki is just trying to get to certain story beats

Not gonna lie though, I personally think that if Mikey was Chuckles, Derek was Klutzy, and Andy was Croakles, that the campaign would turn from the “Once Upon a Witchlight” that we came to see and more like “2 Hours of Fucking Around with Clowns” lol😂😂😂
After the last episode, I'm almost expecting the story book in the bean footage to start deteriorating. It would be like the Warner Bros logo in the Harry Potter movies, I feel like things are gonna start getting darker in this campaign
Gricko made a really good point near the end there. A lot of the fuckery that has hindered the group(or put their lives in danger), has been from Kremmy biting off more than he can chew by making deals he completely believes he has the upper hand in. Most of the choices Kremmy has made, he's made with the assumption that he's smarter and wittier than the person he's making a deal with. He makes his deals wholeheartedly believing he'll come out on top of the contract even at the detriment of the crew at times. His behavior honestly reminds me of Merlin from Nanatsu no Taizai and the fact that Kremmy reminds me of her scares and excites me with the implications towards his character.
Except Merlin actually does have the upper hand in deals, and even the strongest of the demon clan and goddess clan are scared of what she can do, even when far stronger physically or in terms of raw magic power. Kremmy has no such benefit, and has no desire for all knowledge, so there are no parallels. The only reason she lost to Galand was because she forgot her past from living so long. You’re just wrong

I mean if Zebilna was the hag mother she'd still be in control of Prismier but she isn't. In the "Bean Footage" poem she's the sleeping queen that is first mentioned. The little prince I used to think was Madrick but it must be the King of Hearts as he entreats the protagonists for their help in a more "dire" manner. KoH even seemed to take more of a liking to Torbek also like in the opening poem.
this reminds me of the adopted NPC me and my party had. His name was Sean and he died too. Mainly because of me, but it got so emotional at the moment that we decided to leave the session there for the night, and I actually felt terrible for it, despite being a chaotic character that ate people whole.

He is the wisest of them all I believe. He may lack book smarts but he has wisdom and is usually the one to bring good insight to the group. I've been binging this series for weeks now while I work. I feel like I can finally comment and say this groups chemistry and ability play off each other is impeccable. This series alone has made me laugh more in 4 weeks than anything else this year! I've had to whip out my inhaler a few times 🤭
SPOILER ALERT Bruhhhhh I saw a later episode on Twitch and then had to watch the previous episodes to understand the backstory. I friggin KNEW that the baby sister was named Tasha. The baby sister briefly said her name, and it started with T, and people guessed it was the ruler of the summer court, but Tasha's Hideous Laughter made sense to me as being a hag's power, so omggggg it's all coming up TORBEK
This campaign has put me through so many emotions. Happiness, sadness, and the realization Gricko had the opportunity to be Austin Powers when he was a spy
Also one thing that made me sad was I think Gideon was gonna tell twig that he also loved her when she was talking about how she loved them but got distracted by smth and I think we were cheated out of something beautiful there 😢❤

So I learned that, from watching their very first Feywild campaign, Gricko used to actually be a hag-hunter of a sort. But this is a completely different Gricko in this world as far as I recall. Either way, it almost seems like he's channeling Gricko 1.0

Also ngl, I was bawling during the scenes with Gid and Twigsy. The desperation Mace portrayed made genuinely feel things and then Twig hopping on Gid's shoulders for the good ol' uppies broke me. You guys are amazing and just to make his day...Torbek is my favorite 💙

I've been binging this series for weeks now while I work. I feel like I can finally comment and say this groups chemistry and ability play off each other is impeccable. This series alone has made me laugh more in 4 weeks than anything else this year! I've had to whip out my inhaler a few times 🤭

The baby sister briefly said her name, and it started with T, and people guessed it was the ruler of the summer court, but Tasha's Hideous Laughter made sense to me as being a hag's power, so omggggg it's all coming up TORBEK

I love how everyone started showing their appreciation for twig more after she came back. So damn sweet, I love the gang.
Also one thing that made me sad was I think Gideon was gonna tell twig that he also loved her when she was talking about how she loved them but got distracted by smth and I think we were cheated out of something beautiful there 😢❤
