Performance Marching Band - Grade 4
A power ballad for the ages, this Journey classic from 1982 remains as popular today as ever. Jay's stirring arrangement for the field or stands opens quietly with a trumpet solo, then builds to a huge full band chorus statement before closing out with a quiet ending.

I'm in the deshler high school and we played this Friday for our homecoming
band
We r playing for hoco
we played this for Homecoming whem they announced king and queen
Sergious so did we!
we played it for senior night and homecoming
wow, they're actually making real percussion parts now
Bruh
That hurts
We had to play this for homecoming court
Same
definitely more of a field piece. The slow build-up just ain't gonna hype a football crowd in the stands during a game
It would be AMAZING if played on the field as part of a show though
Gamer Newbz The DFRC blue gold all star band played it in 2016
Tip to everyone: you can just count 9/8 in 3
Thank you dylan mcconnell
the trumpet solo... nice!
Playing this for hoco court and I’m 2nd trumpet

Me listening to this because im too stupid to play ¾ and 9/8 and wanna learn how it goes...
Hey I can actually hear the mallets for once
much less square than other arrangements.
This is definently NOT grade 4, sounds good though
True, but most HS students have probably never read anything in 9/8 time signature before. Aside from that, it is really easy for a Grade 4
Finally a Mariah Carey song
It's a Journey song
