Hi sir, First of all, thank you for the videos, i am an non math background person and have been searching for grep prep videos since long and only ik how much relief it is to hear someone say that people like us can score good too. I just wanted to ask, i am planning to give early by the end of September because of early deadlines, and i havent started my prep yet(i have just completed my exams). Do u think i can still score 320+ with 2 months of preparation and very little math knowledge. Also I wanted to ask, should I do foundation math first and then Manhattan gre series books It would be really helpful if u reply. And thank you very much, sir.
I takes 250-300 hours of prep time for someone with a weak math background. Usually you would need 3-4 months so 2 months is a very very tough and unrealistic target for 320. But you can give your best and aim for it.
Thank you so much sir Talha for this. Your videos are always so helpful. I had a question though. I want to apply for fall'24 intake. But I'm unsure when to give my GRE. I had two options in mind: 1) Give the GRE at the end of Oct or the beginning of November 2) Give the GRE at November end or beginning or December I work full time, so I am able to give around 1-2 hours maximum during weekdays to Quant to Verbal and ofc. more time during the weekends. What do you recommend I do? (For context, preferred countries include US, UK, New Zealand, and Canda)
I usually recommend 200-250 hours of GRE prep for a good score. So given that you are working you would need 3-4 months from here onwards. So it would be around end of November.
I don't know I am the only one or many people feel that way. I want to appear for GRE, started preparing for vocabulary as well almost 800 words, did some practice for maths from Manhattan 5lb as well. But don't know why but still unable to convince myself that I can do this. May b people from not so good school systems are not prepared enough to do self prep, may be we have that habit of a classroom and mock tests, God knows but it's really frustrating....
I have come across two popular options, namely GRE-GMAT and Magoosh, but I am unsure which one would be more suitable for my needs. If you could provide your perspective on which of these resources would be a better fit for someone with an engineering background like mine, I would be immensely grateful.
Sir, I am currently in 4th year Btech Computer. I am having college load also about placement, but I am thinking about Master and family support me in that. But the problem is in my friend circle all our preparing for placements so I get carried away with it, and lose my focus on GRE preparation. Sir, guide me on it, and I am average pace learner in quant. How should I focus on it, and maintain consistence for GRE preparation.
Hi Talha sir, hope you are doing well. I have taken the GRE previously(Feb 2020), and my score was 158 quant and 146 verbal. I also have a TOEFL score of 107 which I gave recently(Feb 2023),. My major is civil engineering. how much time would you recommend me to improve my score on the GRE? I am interested in direct admissions and want to apply for fall intake, mostly the priority deadlines are mid-December. My bachelor's GPA is 3.13 and master's is 3.93. Thanks in advance
Hello Aizaz, I am good thanks for asking. Hope you are fine as wll. So for CE degrees anything above 162 on quant and 150+ on verbal is a very safe score for direct admits. Given that your GPA is good at the masters level that would also help your case with that kind of a GRE score. Regards
Sir, do you think if I take the GRE in the mid of oct and then take the Toefl exam in the first week of November, would it be late for Fall 24? My targeted country is USA and I am from Mechanical Engineering Background.
Sir I’m planning to give the GRE in mid November 2023, i have bought the manhattan 8 series and official GRE practice books as well. But i still feel like i wont be able to complete so many books so quick. Those 8 books have so many chapters is it really possible i can complete them in 6-8 weeks? And then move to the mock exam? I feel like I’m doing something wrong

Magoosh good for video lessons for quant and verbal
Gregmat only good for verbal
Neither outstanding for practice questions

It takes around 200-250 hours of prep to go through all of that.
So 6 weeks means you need around 30-40 hours per week for GRE prep which is around 5 hrs per day
