never listened to any of these 'brakence clones' but worth mentioning that when brakence first started, he was a pretty hardcore EDEN clone. it was a while before he came into his own sound and artistry, and hopefully those kids will too
luckily for him EDEN's sound changed drastically, especially when brakence started to hit big so it was easier to mask.
no clone brings the same heart but the kids who had him as an inspiration instead of someone to copy will do amazing things, im certain.
BIGGGG diff between taking inspiration and being a clone- im excited for the young artists pushing the sound forawrd

Fantano regularly gives my favorite albums 5s and 6s (or literally scoffs at the mere mention of them in the case of John Mayer's Continuum, my favorite album of all time 💀), so I take it as a badge of honor at this point LOL.

@@po9t I know haha. I guess what I actually mean is that I think if new artists are copying him I see it as an all around good thing. Even Brakence kinda started off as a bit of an EDEN clone, I remember some people thought he actually was an EDEN side project of some kind. Art never really is "original", it's more about how well you can transform your inspirations into something unique (which takes a lot of talent).
I think about it with this analogy: there's nothing really original about cooking, it's not like anyone is inventing a new chicken or beef (unless you count vegan meat). What matters is how you take those unoriginal ingredients and mix them into a one of a kind dish that makes a master chef. Nothing that Brakence does (or anyone for that matter) is original, but he's a master chef. Pop music as a genre is as unoriginal as it gets, but it turns out a lot of people still love a good ol' fashioned burger.
Either way, everyone starts somewhere and usually they start out just amateurishly copying someone else's recipe. Give it time and one of those corny artists could turn out to be the next big thing. Who knows!

@@Villajumpy Haha I'm glad you like it. I actually use that analogy for a lot things. I work in telesales and when reviewing sales calls it's hard to say "you did this wrong", because most of the time it's very subjective about what is right and what is wrong when it comes to sales because two different sales agents could be completely different in their approach yet both of them are putting up top numbers. What we say is that we can recognize areas where we could have done better.
The simplest way to voice this analogy, I tell people this: "There's a hundred ways to cook a steak." All that means is that there are many ways of doing the same thing and not everyone is going to agree on the best way to do it, but through practice we can all achieve mastery of our craft and find our own way.
