The canopy cannot go in the washing machine, it is spot clean only. Always wash according to manufacturers instructions. For those asking, this seat has a no rethread harness, so the straps cannot be removed. They are to be cleaned with a mild soap only and a slightly damp washcloth.
The most useless video ever lol. Spent all this time editing and making it pretty with zero helpfulness. This is why I wish men would make these videos - it would be all business.
You can't remove the bottom buckle strap but you can adjust it and slide it up and down to clean it. I first removed the padding on that strap and removed the seat lining. Then with a damp rag you can clean the strap. I hope that makes sense! :)
Why would you recommend taking the canopy off? There should be a warning that it is impossible to put back on and will cause you to go gray, bald and lose your mind.
having trouble removing the inner shell could you tell me or show the part you fast forwarded through??? Im having trouble finding where to release the gray straps to remove inner lining.
Hey Toni! There are white plastic tabs underneath the edges of the inner shell. Try to find a bit of an opening between the shell and car seat bottom. Once you do, stick your hand as far in as you can and run your hand along the edges of the shell. You should be able to feel the plastic tabs. They're all different sizes and mostly rectangular in shape. They just pop or slide out from between the plastic car seat sides. Hope that helps!
Hi Francine, I'm sorry I completely missed your message. I didn't try taking the belt straps off. I actually don't think they come off. I usually wipe them with a hot damp cloth and give it a little spritz of watered down essential oil (like peppermint and lavender mix) so it smells fresh.
I air dried everything overnight and in the morning it was completely dry. At the time that was 8 hours. But I'm sure if you put it outside on a sunny dry day, it'll dry much faster!

Have you found an easier way to do it?
Why say remove the canopy when the Mesa instructions say not to? Pain to put back together
Were you able to get it back on? I’d gladly pay someone 50 bucks to get it back on. No thanks to this video.

If the grey strap won’t detach you can’t remove the inner shell. How did you get the grey strap to come loose?
What about the belt straps how to disconnect and wash them.
