If he goes to Philly or KC as a backup, I think he can kickstart his career maybe. He has a big arm, he can run, just needs a good oline and good running game, he can be serviceable
@@bcostello Yes for sure. I'd take DJ over Kenny Pickett. But the Eagles' 3rd QB, Tanner McKee, is someone to watch, this dude has immense talent. But KC and Andy Reid could do DJ a lot of good, too.
He had every physical tool you want, and seems like a class act… not sure if he didn’t have the right coaching system around him, or if he just doesn’t have that it factor a QB needs. I wish him the best of luck with his future. He reminds me of a Justin Fields, so much potential, but he just never realizes it.
Jones scapegoat--Like he said he took full responsibility for not enough wins. Receivers should take full responsibility for not getting open and dropping numerous passes, kicker should take full responsibility for missing fields, running backs for fumbling the ball, coaches for not calling the right plays, defense for missing tackles, not stopping the run and giving up huge plays and the porous OL (Jones had all his career) not providing protection and holding blocks. Add all the penalties and injuries and that adds to the lack of success. I always and still believe that the Giants had a great talent and ruined Jones.
He’s 🗑️. GM is 🗑️. Giants are trash for letting their best player go right next door only to thrive for few dollars. The entire organization made questionable decisions. Sincerely, a Giants fan (by a thread)!
Some of yall are weak with these comments. Dude gets benched and then asks to be released…? What a baby back bit*%! No one will want to hire him and his quitting mentality. As players I wouldn’t want him playing with me. Period.
Dude knew he was getting cut at the end of the season. That’s why he was put as a 3rd string. Even if both Tommy and Drew went down they still wouldn’t put him out because of the injury clause. This is a business decision from both ends. You quite literally can’t quit when you’re practically not even part of the team anymore.
Class act. Great athlete. I wish nothing but the best going forward for this man.
Why make this dude answer these types of questions...
Because Giants fans are such dicks! They need this type of shit or they will go headhunting
It's cruel. Fuck the media
Reporters didn't hold back. Damn, that was pretty brutal. That said, Jones handled himself with class.

What are you babbling about? Why would Philly or KC want him as a backup? Don’t talk football pea brain
I’m hoping Philly. He’s good friends with Saquon and the Eagles better coaching could probably help him out.

@@jrcrit8843 you’re the pea brain sir

i mean it would be funny to see another team pick him up and find immediate success.
That happens more often than not with players who leave the giants
Takes a backbone to play with NY logo! So if you are weak minded, go somewhere else to play!
Truly disappointed (like most Giants fans) that it didn't work out. Wish you the best Danny!

I can see him as a backup in Philly next year:) Or on ESPN.. I mean Orlovsky is there, right?
Thank you so much for everything you did for us Daniel,You were my favorite QB,i really wanted to meet you so you can sign my DJ Jersey
Hard to remain confident as a QB when you’re getting drilled two seconds after the snapping the ball every other down.
Why have this occur , they may as well let him stay home and leave the Team ..
Dude was Garbo let’s be real hasn’t thrown a td in MetLife in 600 days
This is what needed to happen. I've been a Giants fan since LT days and he's not the leader sad to say it but he's not
wtf was that sound at 0:53😭😭😭
It was one of the other Giants players Celebrating his departure.
😂😂@JujuPig-vz5mq
I wish him all the best! Hope he gets the last laugh on this league!

Who asked?
Lol
He was a mediocre QB, so?
If he was prepared he wouldn't have to read off a card. I'm a physics professor - I come prepared.
his job is playing football not giving lectures, bum
@@butchtommasinostill a valid question smooth brain. Why waste your time with this presser? Send out a tweet or something. No one cared lol
