I never knew that they were in Saigon. In fact, i’m in the middle of reading a book that takes places In Saigon. It’s called Inside Out & Back Again. It’s about a 10Y girl named Ha’ who is living a normal life in Saigon, Vietnam. The year is 1975 and her family is living in the Vietnam war until they’re forced to evacuate, and then stuff happens and they’re sent to Alabama as refugees. I’m not finished with it yet, but it’s pretty good. It’s written as poetic free verse diary entries.
