Good stuff!! Love to see and hear your thought process as you go through it.. Well done! Cold as a witches tit here in States, could use a bit of that weather 👍💪🏻stay safe !! Chur
Nice work guys - just a handy hint - with signing off the stumps chuck the initials of the faller on the stump as well (otherwise another faller going to claim the credit lol). Also you commented on you can get away with a little more holding wood on a forward leaner - you do have to watch the amount - the point behind the hingwood has increase tension - with a wide hinge you run the risk of a barberchair when you hit the release tab. Otherwise huge kudos guys - not many faller will put their falling under the spotlight like this.Good to see Professional fallers.
I love seeing so much emphasis on safety, you can never have enough, we want these men & woman to go home to their families every night. Awesome skills brothers 👌

Excellent video, question about the seven key courses of harm. I see chainsaw vibration is not listed. Have you noticed a change in the way your hands feel after using the chainsaw?. Do you know about carpal tunnel or hand arm vibration?.
Hey there young man, a question I've just picked up my new 572xp 22 inch bar how long do you run them in for before goin hard out? I've done 1 tank so far at bein reasonably easy on it cheers
@@geoffbell166 crack up I done logging for 11years flying back and forward from Christchurch to Waikato recently moved to Runanga westcoast but my backs wrecked now so no more logging for me
@@geoffbell166 yea I’ve done a few cash firewood loads now and then just to keep the chainsaw alive, yea mate few good bastards few gossipers but I guess you’ll get that in any small town.. love the hunting though, ive laid some bloody beauty stags to rest here
@@geoffbell166 hey mate could you flick me a message on Facebook and let me know acouple of ok areas doesn’t need to be spot x but nice to know where some goats or not so aggressively hunted deer are for the kids to smack over.. the areas I go I need to put some serious work in, seems like every second man has a rifle and goes hunting in greymouth haha Jimmy Hatcher
I’d say your biggest issue to focus on is overall stump heights. Some of them look a little high. The highest value is in the butt, look to minimise stump height.
I've seen alot worse stumps in the industry mainly from uneducated guys who held no tickets, I see why you're hard on yourselves. You never do this in those 20 trees, soooo; Brush/kick the old needles (on the ground) away from around the tree stems before cutting commences and make your felling cuts lower to the ground as possible (without cutting dirt) as it increases log value recovery, no hindrances to the felled log/s, extraction machinery and most of all extraction cycle times improves immensely ...
Nice to see fellers continuing to analyse their technique throughout.
A good operator puts the good and bad on show !Mean operators! Awesome to watch.
Great video . . . nice to see the audit. Cheers.
