Today we have a special episode dedicated to the "Stikhiya" festival, which takes place annually on the dried-up Aral Sea bed near the town of Muynak. Moreover, this episode is dedicated to the "Stikhiya Gen" project, whose main goal is to support local children.
This year, along with the talented DJ and producer Yosef Tumari, I was invited to conduct a music residency for the children. We introduced them to electronic music, taught them how to create it, and in the end, we wrote a track together, which we performed at the "Stikhiya" festival.
While working with the children, we taught some of them DJing, and in a short time, Shaxislam, Shuxrat, Merey mastered the basic skills. One day, we took the equipment to the backyard of the music school and recorded our set. A few days later, the kids performed their first DJ set at the festival.
We were very happy that the local children were involved in such a wonderful process and performed on the stage of their hometown.

CHAIKHANA - this is DJ Edigee's original show about Central Asian electronic music. Teahouse is one of the synonyms of Central Asia. This is the soul and peaceful breath of the East, an integral part of colorful bazaars and a cozy corner of quiet streets. The teahouse has long been a place where people came to tell and listen to the latest news and rumors (when there were no newspapers and telephones), leisurely discuss plans for the future with friends, play backgammon with neighbors, conduct serious “business negotiations,” celebrate significant events, etc. Further. The “Chaikhana” project is the same place where DJs and musicians gather, tell their stories, share music and news.
