    In this video I explain the two primordial energies fo Yin and Yang, which is the binary code that creates all systems within reality. I also talk about common Yin/Yang dichotomies such as feminine and masculine, which can help people get a deeper understanding of esoteric language and systems thinking.

    Yai(n) for those who spread the understanding and culture of the primordial mother wherein the individuation of our beingness is nurtured, great video!. Many ages passed for humanity where sages needed to teach in masculine dominated cultures, their wisdom then codified and then manipulated by bullies to form increasingly patriarchal religions, and interpretation of those increasingly colored by egos to validate the beliefs of egos. All this eventually gave us the absurdities of the middle ages with its rejection and persecution of nature and those who appreciate it. As dots of being in a sea of being we do ourselves a great injustice to not trust the fabric we expand the experience our being-ness through. Thank you for helping to turn the tide with clarity and insight!

    Is it reality itself that is full of symbolism that reflects yin and yang or is it the reflection of your own thoughts that you see in reality?
    “Yin and yang” is an idea. It is a piece of art that illustrates the binary nature of reality. Together, yin and yang are one thing just as reality is one thing.
    From there, what you believe is faith-based. Personally, I believe there is an author and we bear his image. We all possess a masculine and feminine intuition as well as a masculine and feminine shadow. And together the masculine and the feminine, the intuition and the shadow, are one limited reality created by the one who lacks limit. The one whose image we bear and the trinity with which we so dearly seek union.
    Let the flaming light of the truth burn you, for what the truth burns is not really you and the one who emerges from the flames cannot be burned.

    • @TheDiamondNet

      Yin and Yang is not just an idea in the same way that the color green is not just an idea.
      The only difference is that most people can sense the color green and most people aren’t attuned to Yin and Yang and don’t recognize it.
      But you can experience it directly with sensitivity to these subtle energetic qualities. And I have had several such experiences in heightened states of consciousness.
      Now, despite having had direct experience of Yin and Yang, there is an element of faith there that I have to practice towards my own subjective experience.
      But it’s the same kind of faith that I have to practice when asking myself about the objectivity of my experience of the color green.
      Like “What if some people see green as purple and no one realizes it?” It’s not possible to truly know that either way… but it’s basically the faith that my experience of reality reflects something real and not an illusion.

    There is a reason trans people through time and culture (except the current Western one) have been seen as spiritually gifted. Whether nature or nurture, environmental or emotional, I believe that trans people emerge with greater or lesser frequency when society becomes too one sided to the yin or the yang energies. Change follows. For the past 200 years in the West, puritans tend to say, "Decadence comes before the collapse," and then blame LGBT people as the images of the decadent. I like to flip that as we catalyze change to stagnation, show flexibility in the face of rigidity. Change happens, the question is does change have to be catastrophic or gradual.

      The reason why I don't smile on camera is because I'm not really relaxed when I'm making a video. It feels really awkward and I get nervous about saying things the right way and making sure I don't leave out any important details. So, it doesn't really feel natural to smile in them. Even when I do laugh in the video, I'm immediately hit by feelings of awkwardness. But I'm trying to work on being more expressive in my videos.

      I've thought of that before, but I still have difficulty with it. I have a lifelong habit of talking to myself about various insights all the time, where it all just comes naturally, effortlessly, and organically. It's embarrassing when someone walks in on me doing it. But because of this, the majority of the insights I've gotten from contemplation over the years have been lost to the air. And if I could bring that natural consciousness flow into my video making, it would probably be much more natural and comprehensive. But I have a very limited amount of time for recording, and I want to be sure to get all the insights in the video. So, it always feels like a high pressure situation and I freeze up often while I'm recording. This is especially true at the beginning of the videos. I have to say "Hi, this is Emerald and welcome to the Diamond Net" like five times before I can move on. So, all these factors make it very difficult to relax and allow in the way that I can when I'm just talking to myself.

    Thank you for articulating so clearly this subtle topic. I always enjoy your videos! Another topic I've been thinking about recently, which I wanted to ask if you could share about, is this idea of trying to "listen to our heart" or find our inner voice which to me could also mean being able to be open to inspiration from a spiritual source, and how we can become better at distinguishing that kind of intuition from the inner critical voice? I've found that the two can sound the same (as in it just sounds like your own voice in your head) and the only way I have started to see the difference is in the content of the thoughts and ideas. I don't know if there's anything you can share about this to help people understand better when we might be under the influence of more spiritual promptings as opposed to our own conditioning and culture that comes to us in the form of an inner voice?

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад +1

      I'm first going to say something that may seem a little unhelpful, but I will explain it afterward. And that unhelpful seeming thing is that, if you're hearing the inner voice clearly and without distortion you will know it. It will be plain as day. I'm going to copy paste a reply I made to someone asking a similar question.
      "Imagine that you are at a rock concert, and the band is playing really loud to where you can hear nothing else. Now imagine that there is a person calmly, clearly, and quietly talking to you from someplace outside the concert where it is quiet. And they never stop talking because they are trying to communicate something important to you.
      What would you do to enable yourself to hear that person's voice now that you've become aware that there's someone trying to communicate something important to you?"
      In this analogy, the rock concert represents the thought stream. It is very loud and unstoppable. The whispering person represents the inner voice. The person is constantly trying to communicate to you but they are too quiet to be heard if we remain in the concert setting. Likewise, the inner voice is quiet and is always speaking and trying to communicate wisdom to you. But the thought stream is too loud, so the inner voice is completely eclipsed by it.
      So, trying to decipher the inner voice from just another thought in the thought stream is impossible if we are identified with the thought stream. If we don't remove ourselves from the concert we will never hear the person whispering at us. If our awareness is always habitually latching onto the loud thought stream and getting caught down in it, we will never hear the subtle voice of wisdom clearly. At best, it will come rarely and with distortion.
      So, the practice of becoming aware of the inner voice is practicing dis-identification with the thought stream as well as the practice of removing awareness from he thought stream and placing it on a different somatic experience. So, Vipassana Mediation is great for this, because you practice anchoring your awareness on a sensation to remove your awareness from the thought stream. Eventually, your awareness will have enough distance from the thought stream within your internal landscape to hear the quiet inner voice. And when you do, the difference between the thought stream and the inner voice will be as plain as day.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад

      In this case, the word 'voice' does resemble more of what I experienced than the word 'feeling'. It was really clear what it was trying to tell me and I knew exactly what it was trying to communicate. But I just kind of knew it in knowing, as though knowing itself were a sense all on its own. So, voice and feeling are both imperfect words to describe it, but quiet voice is the closest metaphor to it that I can think of. It was just a really clear sense of knowing. And it was clear that this voice knew everything that I could ever want to know and always had and always would.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад +2

      I've talked a bit about it before relative to my experience of ego transcendence. It was basically a sense of knowing without hearing or feeling, which also came with the ability to understand it as if someone who both is me and isn't me had just said it to me very plainly. So, that's why I said it's more akin to a voice because it's more clear like a voice. It didn't take interpretation or figuring out. And it was the thing that enabled me to look at present events and immediately get an intuition about larger patterns.
      For example, during my second experience of ego transcendence, I was hanging out with these guys who had a cute little dog. And the guys would always do the cute animal thing where they basically have conversations with the dog and speak the dog's part too. People do this all the time, and it's very innocuous seeming. And I had been hanging around them quite a bit and it never occurred to me that there was any issue going on.
      But when I transcended the ego and witnessed them talking for the dog, I realized that they didn't really know the dog at all. The dog was basically a stranger to them. They just knew their projection onto the dog. And I realized that this is the reason why people are so alone, because they love their projection and not the actual person or animal. And I knew this clearly and without contemplation or figuring out. It was just like a voiceless voice had just told me, and I knew immediately.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад

      I sure hope so. It's been kind of hard over the past year or so because a few of my coping mechanisms dropped away. Relative to the path, I ran out of "Aha! moments" most notably. I know deep down that there's nothing more that I can learn that will actually help me progress at this point. I have reached lulls before, but there was always a sense that the right information would find me and help me along. And it always did. So, now that spiritual content has reached a point of diminishing returns, I feel like I'm out in the middle of the desert wandering around, with an ever diminishing amount of watering holes to be revitalized in. And in truth, I probably just have to just surrender, stay still, and let the elements wither me away. There really isn't anyplace to go any longer. But I also have a piss-poor willpower because I still have a weak ego stemming from misinterpretations of my awakenings and the various life traumas I experienced during that time. So, that's where my focus should be.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад

      I'm not sure about that. I think most have a pretty hard time with it because it's such an unknown. But if my experience is unique in any way, I know that many of my problems have come from the fact that I had no preparation before my awakenings. So, I've had to really piece together everything by myself. That compounded with the many tumultuous life situations that occurred in proximity to my awakenings, then the swift change from being a leaf floating in the breeze to becoming a settled down with a family and having to just get everything battened down and stable.

    What do you think the Yin-yang of love is? If we all loved each other without doubt what would the negative of that be?

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад

      I'm not 100% sure what you mean. How are you defining love in this particular instance? Once I know that, I should be able to answer your question a bit more accurately.

      Love would be the attraction between all human beings to attempt to understand reality the same way

    • @andrewforbes3122
      @andrewforbes3122 6 лет назад

      Like Jesus said love thy enemy because they think they are doing the right thing but have a different idea of what right is

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад +1

      Often times, people tend to think of love as a feeling or a relationship between people. But my experience with love during my ego transcendence experiences, showed me that love is the nature of all things and reality and is the connecting factor between all things. It's not an emotion or relationship, but it is the "material" that creates all things. And the feelings ascribed to love are just an indicator of the experience of love as an empirically observable aspect of reality. So, because love is basically God, it is non-dual, just like everything else.
      But if I had to split reality into dichotomies of Yin and Yang, I would say that Love is Yin and Emptiness is Yang. Love is the tangible and the personal. Emptiness is the intangible and the impersonal. Both are dualistic bedrock aspects of reality that intertwine.
      But if I had to divide human love into a Yin and Yang dichotomy, I would divide it into acceptance which is Yin and admiration which is Yang.
      But relative to your question about what the negative aspect of loving each other unconditionally, is that human beings are often not yet capable of that. The human capacity for love is limited to our degree of consciousness and integration. So, most people can only pretend to it at this point.
      But of course, it would likely be qualitatively better to live in a place that was genuinely loving where everyone had the capacity to love unconditionally. I guess the downside of it would be remaining unaware of what it is to experience the opposite of love. If what we are is God, which is infinite and unconditionally loving. Then, it makes sense that God might create our perspective to experience the finite and the conditionally loving as God's nature is to be all-knowing.
      But I suppose there is a positive of having the incapacity to love unconditionally is that we get to experience the journey of inner work and all the learning and expansion that comes with it. And we can then appreciate when we find the space in us that is unconditionally loving, because we've experienced the opposite.

    Insightful video as always Emerald!
    It seems I have the same problem you used to have...I'm too much in my head!I love concepts,ideas,logic,mathematics,abstractions... basically mental masturbation...and mundane stuff bores me. So,I've had problems staying grounded for the lognest time!
    What exercises do you recommend in order to stay grounded?Does any meditation work or a specific type is best?

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад +1

      Thank you! :) I think that people who have the 'seeking bone' tend to have issues with embodiment. Reality often seems so boring, and abstraction seems so much more sexy. But this stems from unawareness because there is no distinction between the mundane and the spiritual. So, the solution would be to become more aware of reality beyond its appearances and the relational way that we normally approach it with. So, I recommend mindfulness meditation, which will help you become more and more aware fo reality beyond appearances.
      Also, anything that gets you to become aware fo reality through the non-symbolic lens will be extremely helpful. When I learned to draw and paint realistically, it was like I had learned to see for the first time in my life. I had been walking around on this planet for 15 years and I had never really seen anything. I experienced reality only through concepts and symbols. But when I learned to draw/paint, I was finally able to see what was actually there.
      Also, I have two videos on grounding that you can check out if you haven't already. One is called "Grounding yourself in your Subjective Experience" and the other is called "Grounding yourself in your Emotions."

    I have very little experience with dating etc but when I've been in situations where flirting happens I've noticed that women generally want me (or other men) to take the first step and I feel so fucking awkward, I wish it was the other way around! I think I have maybe a bit more yin than yang and this example hints towards this or maybe it might simply be that I'm very unexperienced and anxious with social situations like that. The more I think about stuff the more questions appears >.

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад +2

      Personally, I think it's quite natural to feel anxious when you put yourself out there. So, that isn't necessarily an indicator of being more Yin relative to dating, per say. But the main thing is to do whatever works for your goals, regardless of what your natural inclination is though. Flexibility and ability to function in both ways is key to thriving in life. So, even if you are naturally more Yin in that way, you may have to step out of that comfort zone and utilize your less dominant energy if the situation calls for it.

    • @kvarnos
      @kvarnos 6 лет назад

      The Diamond Net Thanks for the reply! I am very rarely displaying/acting dominant even though I am male, should I be working on that so I can use it in certain situations or should I just stay the way I am?

    • @TheDiamondNet
      @TheDiamondNet  6 лет назад

      The first thing to look for is resistance and fear. It's these two things that muddy the water and make us repress away and lose sight of our own nature. In lieu of fear and resistance, there are no barriers to authenticity or truth. It will flow effortlessly into your awareness once the barriers are removed. It already "wants" to. The main thing is to cultivate open-ness and receptivity through reintegration and the unlearning of non-truth.
      So, I recommend doing some shadow work or some other type of inner work. At present, you probably don't really know what's true of yourself because you've repressed it away and don't really want to look at it. If the answers aren't obvious to you, there are probably barriers that you've created to protect yourself from uncomfortable emotions, to maintain a particular worldview, to prop up your self-esteem, and a handful of other factors too.
      I recommend watching my videos titled, "Jungian Psychology - The Shadow" and "Shadow Work" in that order. It will give you a better idea of how repression works. You may also benefit from watching the videos "How a Self is Created" and "Identifications and Attachments". These videos should help you realize how barriers to authenticity come into being, which will give you a better idea of how to address the obstacles to knowing yourself.
      Also, a caveat I want to express is to be careful with the 'ideas' of Yin and Yang. Discovering what's authentic doesn't require becoming intellectually aware of whether or not a certain aspect of us is more Yin or more Yang. It has to do with awareness and acceptance of whatever happens to be, which doesn't have much to do with our intellectual understandings of what's going on or how we categorize or conceptualize of what's going on.
      The concepts can be helpful for understanding how systems work, including your own psyche. They can even be helpful for recognizing resistances that we have. But the conceptual framework that it sets up can be a hindrance as well, if the ideas are held onto too tightly. This is because all things contain Yin and Yang in varying degrees. So, the dichotomies I went over are more like common reflections of Yin and Yang in the form of symbols. And symbols can be useful in many contexts but can also obscure reality from us if our goal is to experience truth beyond appearances. So, it can make us superimpose ideas of Yin and Yang onto our traits in a way that colors over the truth of what we're experiencing.

      One other thing that I forgot to mention in the first paragraph... Lack of fear is not synonymous with bravery. So, I'm not recommending trying to be more brave, which is being able to make yourself do something even if you're afraid of it. What I mean is letting go of fear all together.

    Very good but i know that yin is more of bouth, I mean that female side have more of bouth female an male aspects in mind and body. Men are more one sided while women are more of bouth. Most women are hermafrodid than men. Male stands more for simplicity.
