I wrote a speech to myself that goes along with this song today. I'm going to listen to this and read it to myself every morning to help motivate me and inspire myself to be the best that I can be. This song speaks to me on every level, I love this piece.
I figured that it was just bad removal of vocals, and it had never occurred to me that it could have simple been another microphone picking up the vocalist.
I sigh turning around. Well this is it. This is the last time I see this apartment that’s filled with dust. That’s filled with memories. It’s been years since I wanted to move. Every time I felt like I was close to being far away from here; something always went wrong. A chuckle escaped my lips. I used to say to myself, “gosh I hate this place.” But now looking at this lonely apartment I realized that this is where I grew up to be an adult. This is where my memories were created. The welcoming and unwelcoming. The screams, hits, and tears filled this apartment but the sound of laughs, teasing, and growth outgrew it all. I never called this place home. But now just looking at the dirty walls, the ripped up floor, it made me realize that this was a broken home. But it was my broken home.

i fell like this whole song tells a story of two people falling in love little by little, in 4:18 they are deeply in love, like they never been before, and then in 4:58 it happens something, everything falls apart and they have to break up against their will, and the rest of the song just represents their lost souls without each other...
the whole song is one partner without the other, the entire song is after the breakup, it's all devastation and denial no happy parts only memories. the tonal shift at the end you describe is really there, though. it reminds me of the lone partner deciding to stop reminiscing and ruminating for the night, and finally go upstairs to bed, exhausted after a good cry with the photo album.

I’m fourteen now and it’s really stressful trying to be perfect for my mom and siblings. I try to be happy and mentally healthy but school is so hard..just doing my basic tasks is hard. The reason why you can hear slight vocals, is because they probably never recorded a instrumental, and it's quite hard to remove the vocals off the original recording, it could also be that cause he's using a real piano, that the mic used to record the piano has picked up some of his voice on the original recording of this. This is off the cd, cause it sounds exactly the same, I've listened to the one on the cd.

I Love This Song So Much!! It's used a lot on telly in sad parts of the storyline... i liked it from the first second i heard it. But only TODAY I found out what it was called. I want this played at my funeral... but i'm 14 so that hopefully won't be for AGES yet!!!xxx

No sé si te habrás dado cuenta que a veces, el amor ‘dicen’ que lleva reglas en su espalda, que lo encadenan y le cortan las alas.
Y digo dicen porque en realidad no entienden que el verdadero amor es libre, no te hablo del de películas que acaba con finales felices, te hablo del que se siente por dentro sin pensar en lo demás, el de la calle, el que vives y se atreve a romper las ‘normas’ que dicen que existen.
Que quede claro, el amor es libre con todas las letras y en todos los idiomas, en mayúsculas bien grandes, en sí bemol y en braille.
Es imparable, y digo imparable porque cuando una persona se enamora de otra las palabras sobran, se crean puentes a kilómetros y todo vale en cualquier color…
Me pregunto por qué se machaca tanto a quien ama sin importar el sexo, a quien decide querer por dos o cambiar su aspecto para hacerlo. Asco a la expresión se “salir del armario” porque no hay ningún armario, porque nadie debe dar explicaciones por amar a quien quiera. Agitemos banderas por la libertad, por los colores y los besos, para reivindicar que somos personas sin importar con quien estemos…porque aquí nadie está enfermo.
Que puedo querer a una mujer, a un hombre, a los dos a la vez y por igual, que puedo disfrazarme y maquillarme cuando haga falta, que dos personas del mismo sexo tienen el mismo corazón y ganas que cualquiera….porque somos iguales y aquí nada está escrito.
Esas normas se inventan sin haber pensado demasiado pienso vomitarlas para que jamás se cumplan, así que brindemos porque el amor es libre y pienso repetirlo todas las veces que hagan falta…
…y sí, que no te de miedo, no des explicaciones a nadie….es lo más normal y bonito del mundo.

The reason why you can hear slight vocals, is because they probably never recorded a instrumental, and it's quite hard to remove the vocals off the original recording, it could also be that cause he's using a real piano, that the mic used to record the piano has picked up some of his voice on the original recording of this. This is off the cd, cause it sounds exactly the same, I've listened to the one on the cd.
