As a 5-year old child, during my first Catholic lesson at school, I was given a copy of the Catechism which I still read today, now in my retirement. The first 2 entries are:
Who made you” - "God made me."
"Why did God make you?" “God made me to know him, love him and serve him in this world, and to be happy with him forever in the next.”
I recall vividly my experience of elation upon hearing the teacher read out those words which have remained imprinted in my heart my entire life.
Dr Ashenden, your discourses evoke the same feeling of elation upon hearing the truth. A heartfelt thank you and may God bless you and your family.

Thank you Dr. Ashenden for reminding us about Cardinal Pell v Richard Dawkins about the beginning of the world and life. Also explaining about the daily Sacrifice of the Mass and how it reduces evil around us daily. How very evil then to lock up the Churches during covid lock downs! And thank you for giving great advice and encouragement to the alphabet people, you spoke so kindly of them. Finally to remind us that the Mission of Jesus was to sanctify and save us.❤️😊🙏

I'm a convert. Catholic Catchumen getting baptised in 3 weeks. I was nervous about being new, and a massive sinner but everyone is treating me differently from how I thought. They are interested. I met nuns. Did Rosary then had pizza and cake with them. All are cradle Catholics. They are very interested in hearing about my journey because it's so different from theirs. They seem to value that difference. One asked me how my new faith has made a difference to my old life because she hasn't had this herself. Humbled by nuns! I was wrong to think I wouldn't fit in because of my frankly quite awful past. I do fit in. Perfectly. God is God!

I truly believe that euthanasia has been used for years in hospitals. My beloved aunt had a lot of medical conditions and she fought them very bravely. This was in 2002. She wasn't ready to go. She had lung disease and was religious about using her inhalers and nebuliser every day. She was hospitalised for intense pain caused by meds (osteoporosis.) She was treated with morphine in the hospital which obviously suppressed her breathing. We couldn't make any sense of what was happenning at the time and we were also mourning the loss of our father 7 weeks before. She died alone without any of there. Oh, for those times when we died at home!

    😂 What???
I can just picture you in the crowd where Jesus is preaching and He starts one of His parables…YOU: You have 6 minutes and if this parable takes longer or if I don’t like it, or I don’t get it because I actually have to think or ponder out of my comfort zone…I’m out of here…
But I might come back later to see if you ever meet my expectations…
BTW…Jesus would welcome you back and so will Dr. Gavin
Though Jesus will continue with the parables and Dr. Gavin will continue…I am 🙏🏻for you to throw away that timer…❤️

Euthanasia is being pushed as a right to make a personal choice to end one's life. My concern is that when it is accepted in society without question the thin veil to compulsory euthanasia looms ahead.

I found this really interesting particularly the chronology. Some years ago I had a deeply spiritual experience, I wouldn't call what happened a dream as it would seem blasphemous. The experience gave me an awareness of a link in time between events, one of which was the Crucifixion. The obvious difficulty being the actual date is not recorded. However I eventually concluded that the crucifixion took place on the 26th April AD 31. 12000 days before this is the 17th of June 3BC, 12000 being the number of sealed believers in Revelation 7:5-8. I would suggest this was Jesus's date of birth. One calendar year later on the 17th June 2BC the planetary conjunction of Venus and Jupiter took place. Astronomers have calculated this date, suggesting this was the star the Magi saw, which led them to make their journey to the east. Some sources say that on the 25th December 2BC Jupiter was visible over Bethlehem at the time of the Hanukkah festival.
Interestingly if one uses the current methodology for determining the Feast of the Baptism of our Lord and considers Jesus as having a three year ministry it coincides with 11th January AD 28, which is 1200 days before the date I suggest for the crucifixion, Jesus's ministry would also contain 40 full moons. 1200 being the average number of pages in a Bible and 40 being associated in the bible with trial or testing.
Historians say Jerusalem fell on the 26th September AD70, this is also 40 prophetic years after the crucifixion date proposed.
Also 1200 prophetic years after the proposed Crucifixion date takes us to AD 1214 which is the year St Dominic who is said to have received the Rosary founded his religious order.
Thanks to Gavin for inspiring me to share this.

Not only do you have the magi who where the three but you also have the shepherds who where there with their sheep that where aware of the newborn King. Jesus was born in a manger or trough in a stable with horses and livestock. Then later there was room in the inn before His circumsion. Matthew and Luke convey this in the Gospel.
