- For the third straight season the Seattle Seahawks travel to Ford Field in Detroit to take on the Lions, this time without Pete Carroll at the helm.
Can so-far-undefeated new head coach Mike Macdonald keep the road winning streak alive in Detroit as the Seahawks try to make a statement?
These two teams both have their eye on NFC contention. Joining me to help break down the opponent once again is Chris Perfett of the Pride of the Lions podcast and Fox Sports Radio.

Listening to rivals talk is misleading a lot LOL. A lot of what he said was true. They have got a great pass rush but when he started talking about having a top two safety tandem in the leave LOL. No they don't. Their safeties and cornerbacks are boo boo...😂 Literally couldn't guard a prisoner if they were working at the prison.

Personally, I don't see how the Detroit Lions are thinking the favorites to win this game... They've got to be knowing that they're underdogs here
I went last yr to watch UW beat MSU and then Hawks on Sunday. Great atmosphere, underrated fans, super cool, parked in a Lions yard and partied with them even with my Hawks jersey and hat. Raucous crowd but just nice people all around.
Carlton Davis sucks!! Arnold is good in coverage, see Harrison game, but too many penalties.

Gentlemen, this has been a great podcast. I'm trying to.. no.. I AM learning about this game I love so much. I used to only watch the guy who THREW the ball and the guy that CAUGHT THE ball. If everyone was cheering, I started cheering. There are a FEW things I DO know how to do, and do it well is being a loud 12th man! We call ourselves "Lady Hawks" and we are a force to be reckoned with! We NEVER get impatient with our boys. We know that time takes time. We are learning to trust our new coach and he is learning how to trust us. He's amazing, it's like we've known him a whole lot longer these past 9 months. He KNOWS the power of the 12s! He "gets us". He sees that and has told us many times how "Impressed" he is with our passion and loyalty! I'm leaving a 2nd comment because your guest said something about the Lion's fans. He said they can get loud but he also said they, "get impatient". That is something we would NEVER DO. When it comes to being LOUD? THERE IS NOBODY that's louder and stronger than The 12s. We've set of the Richter scale not only once but twice! Nobody ...NOBODY wants to play the Hawks at home! Why? Because they all know that they're going to leave Lumen field with their ears ringing for the rest of the day, or night! 🙉

That is just a fact. Men typically go for dogs. They love their blind dedication and obedience. They crave all of that slobbery attention. Cat loving men, on the other hand, are completely comfortable with themselves. They don't require 24/7 a day and week attention?
They are VERY comfortable and confident in knowing that their cats love them..🐈.on THEIR terms! As a hawks fan I am worried about Montgomery. If I recall he ran ALL OVER US last year. Hawks have a lot of experience against Goff so we can tame him. But hutch and Montgomery we don’t have good experience with. Either way it’s gonna be a good game and likely come down to the last play.
Every team last year ran all over the Seahawks, lol

I don’t believe this team will make much progress throughout the season unless they make significant changes to the offensive line. The defense, on the other hand, can and likely will improve, which is impressive considering how well they’ve played so far. What’s even more concerning for opponents is that I don’t think the coach has fully unleashed what this defense is capable of yet. That will take time to develop.
However, there’s no way the team improves as the season goes on if the offensive line remains unchanged. While I’m okay with Cross and Williams, as Williams will develop, the play at both guard positions and right tackle has been historically bad, and it will only worsen as they face tougher competition. The left guard has been poor over the last few years, and his career trajectory looks bleak as he’s no longer a reliable player. The right guard may not even be starting caliber in the NFL; his inexperience shows, and his play so far suggests he’s not up to the task. The right tackle situation is so dire that they’re considering bringing in someone well past their prime, which is just laughable.
The Seahawks’ offensive line is the worst I’ve seen in a long time, and if it weren’t for Geno’s elite play and K-9’s elusiveness, this team could easily be 1-2 like the rest of the division. In that case, the fans and media would likely be harshly criticizing the GM for his negligence in addressing the O-line this offseason. If the Seahawks want to be legitimate contenders this season, three things must happen-though it’s a long shot, it’s possible and would save the GM’s reputation.
1. Williams needs to return to playing at an All-Pro level. This is the most realistic option.
2. They should make a trade midseason for a solid left guard or right tackle from a struggling team. It will take time, but a team out of playoff contention might trade a reliable veteran for a late pick.
3. Christian Haynes should be given a shot over Bradford, who has been awful. Haynes is known for his pass protection, but from what I understand, his limited snaps haven’t been great either, according to PFF.
Lastly, it’s worth considering whether the system itself is part of the problem. These are coaches fresh out of college who may be in over their heads trying to coach at the professional level. If the players don’t fit their system, that’s entirely on John.

@@whitneyfranco44 you don’t get it. Seahawks had an offseason to take care of it and they choose to not take care of it correctly or even just pure negligence. We knew the line would be bad. Again, we hat if the hawks were 0-3? No one would be saying give it time. But since Geno and the defense have been great, you can spew non sense like “give it time”.
