I had a similar concept about a lens like this and now i found out that a concept of smart lens existed 1 year before i got the idea even though it was an april fool, with modern tecnology, its price can be between 100-3000$ and in 2030's or 2040's the evolving technology can make the price range between 35-1200$. remember when we joked about folding phones and then it became reality (well we still have a few miles to go but we are really close), this idea of wearable is going to be in consumers hands in 20 years from now, even apple announced an AR and VR headset and since then the curiosity for this type of product have risen. at the moment i really like lenovos ThinkVision (im not sure about the naming) headset, but it's still expensive, but in the same time it really puts in perspective what you actually need when working or playing on a laptop, you might need 2 or 3 extra monitors connected to a laptop or just one AR headset that can emulate 3 monitors, this way making your setup a lot more compact and portable. Personally if i had a pair of smart glasses i would use them for gps while driving, it would be very helpful, or while walking so i dont have to check my phone every 5 minutes when im in a city where i dont know the layout of.
